a CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 65 -~_ BY AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS NO. 1 & 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 64-207, ENACTED SEPTEMBER I5 , 1964, BEING AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THE AMOUNT THE CITY OF NL~RTH OLMSTED SHALL PAY TOWARDS THE BLUE CROSS HOSPITALIZA- TION FREMIUMS OF POLICEMEN AND FIREMEN, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Wl-iEREAS, Cauncil being advised by the Finance Committee and the Safety Committee that Blue Cross rates have increased, and WHEREAS, in order to maintain an efficient Fire Department and Police Department, Gouncil has determined that the increase as recommended by the Finance Committee and Safety Committee shall be granted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 64-207 reading as follows: "Section I: That effective November 1 , 1964 , the base salaries of the members of the Police Department are hereby fixed and determined to be as follows: Chief of Police 7, 800.00 annually Lieutenant of Police 7, 300.00 annually Sergeants 6 , 900.00 annually Patrolmen for First Year 5 , 500.00 annually Patrolmen for Second Year 5 , 900.00 annually School Guards 1 .75 per hour Auxiliary Police 1.75 per hour which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance semi-monthly. Any of the above, with the exception of school guards and auxiliary palace, shall, while on duty as plain clothes detectives, be paid additional compensation at the rate of $200. Q0 annually for all time spend as plain clothes detectives . Full time employees of the Police Department having completed five years of full time continuous service as employees of said department shall be paid an additional 3°~ of their base annual salary thereafter until completion of the tenth year of continuous full time service , and such employees shall receive 49~ of their base annual salary thereafter until the completion of the 15th year of continuous full time service , and thereafter 5~ of their base an-:tal salary until. after the completion of the 20th year of continuaus full time service and during each year of full time service thereafter they shall recei~Te e; cif their case annual salar~~ as large:-?.ty incre~Y~er~:ts.
