<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO® 65 ----(~ page ;~ <br />°In computing length of service for the uprpase of making <br />payments of the longevity increments hereinabove set forth <br />no credit shall be given for part-time services but such <br />limitation is only for the purpose of computing longevityy <br />increments and the exclusion for part-time service <br />shall not deprive any employees of any other benefits which <br />may be due them for part-time service as employees in either <br />Safety Department. <br />In addition to the regular base salary plus increment and other <br />wage increases, all regular employees of the Police Department, <br />including officers, shall, on their original appointment and. <br />during the first calendar year during their appointment , <br />receive $175.00 clothing allowance and shall, during each <br />calendar }year thereafter receiving a clothing allowance of <br />$150.00 to be determined and disbursed by and with the <br />approval of the Police Chief of the Department . <br />For each full time member of the Police Department (excluding <br />auxiliary police and school guards), the City of North Olmsted <br />shall pay the sum of $7.25 per month towards the total cast of <br />Blue Cross Hospitalization premiums of said members of the <br />Police Force . '" <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Section l: That effective May 1 , 1965 , the base salaries <br />of the members of the Police Department are hereby fixed and determined to be <br />as follows: <br />Chief of Police <br />Lieutenant of Police <br />Sergeants <br />Patrolmen for First Year <br />Patrolmen for Second Year <br />Patrolmen after Second Year <br />School Guards <br />Auxiliary Police <br />7 , $00.00 annually <br />7, 300.00 annually <br />6,900.00 annually <br />5 , 500.00 annually <br />5 , 900.00 annually <br />6, 500.00 annually <br />1.75 per hour <br />1.75 per hour <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance semi-monthly. <br />Any of the above , with the exception of school guards and <br />auxiliary police, shall, while on duty as plain clothes detectives, be <br />paid additional compensation at the rate of $200.00 annually far alI time <br />spent as plain clothes detectives. <br />Full time employees of the Police Department having completed <br />five years of full time continuous service as employees of said department sha l <br />be paid an additional 3% of their base annual salary thereafter until completion <br />of the tenth year of continuous full time service, after which such employees shall <br />receive 4% of their base annual salary thereafter until the completion of the 15th <br />year of continuous full time service , and thereafter 5% of their base annual salary <br />until after the completion of the 20th year of continuous full time service and <br />during each year of full time service thereafter they shall receive 6% of their base <br />salary as longe-.~ity increments . <br />
