CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO® 65 ----(~ page ;~ °In computing length of service for the uprpase of making payments of the longevity increments hereinabove set forth no credit shall be given for part-time services but such limitation is only for the purpose of computing longevityy increments and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive any employees of any other benefits which may be due them for part-time service as employees in either Safety Department. In addition to the regular base salary plus increment and other wage increases, all regular employees of the Police Department, including officers, shall, on their original appointment and. during the first calendar year during their appointment , receive $175.00 clothing allowance and shall, during each calendar }year thereafter receiving a clothing allowance of $150.00 to be determined and disbursed by and with the approval of the Police Chief of the Department . For each full time member of the Police Department (excluding auxiliary police and school guards), the City of North Olmsted shall pay the sum of $7.25 per month towards the total cast of Blue Cross Hospitalization premiums of said members of the Police Force . '" be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section l: That effective May 1 , 1965 , the base salaries of the members of the Police Department are hereby fixed and determined to be as follows: Chief of Police Lieutenant of Police Sergeants Patrolmen for First Year Patrolmen for Second Year Patrolmen after Second Year School Guards Auxiliary Police 7 , $00.00 annually 7, 300.00 annually 6,900.00 annually 5 , 500.00 annually 5 , 900.00 annually 6, 500.00 annually 1.75 per hour 1.75 per hour which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance semi-monthly. Any of the above , with the exception of school guards and auxiliary police, shall, while on duty as plain clothes detectives, be paid additional compensation at the rate of $200.00 annually far alI time spent as plain clothes detectives. Full time employees of the Police Department having completed five years of full time continuous service as employees of said department sha l be paid an additional 3% of their base annual salary thereafter until completion of the tenth year of continuous full time service, after which such employees shall receive 4% of their base annual salary thereafter until the completion of the 15th year of continuous full time service , and thereafter 5% of their base annual salary until after the completion of the 20th year of continuous full time service and during each year of full time service thereafter they shall receive 6% of their base salary as longe-.~ity increments .
