1 <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTEI` ORDINANCI/ NO, 65- ~~. ., Page. 3 <br />In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments <br />of the longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be given for <br />part-time services but such limitation is only #or the purpose of computing longevity <br />increments and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive any employees <br />of any other benefits which mya be due them for part-time service as employees <br />in either Safety Department. <br />In addition to the regular base salary plus increment and other <br />wage increases, all regular employees of the Police Department, including <br />officers , shall, on their original appointment and during the first calendar. year <br />during their appointment, receive $175.00 clothing allowance and shall, during <br />each calendar year thereafter, receiving a clothing allowance of $7.50.00 to <br />be determined and disbursed by and with the approval of the Police Chief of <br />the Department. <br />For each full time member of the Police Department (excluding <br />auxiliary police and school guards) , the City of North Olmsted shall pad an amount <br />equal to a single person's rate per month towards the cost of Rlue Gross Hospitalizatic <br />`premiums o sai mem _ers o t e Police Force. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 64-207 reading as <br />follo _ <br />"Section 2: That effective November 1, 1964, the base <br />salaries of the members of the Fire Department are hereby fixed and determined <br />to be as follows: <br />Fire Chief $ 7, $00.00 annually <br />Assistant Fire Chief 7 , 400.00 annually <br />Fire Lieutenant 6 , 900.00 annually <br />Firemen far First Year 5 , 500.00 annually <br />Firemen for Second Year 5 , 900.00 annually <br />Firemen after Second Year 6, 500.00 annually <br />Part-time Firemen 1.75 per hour <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance <br />semi-monthly. <br />Full time employees of the Fire Department having completed <br />five years of full time cantinuous service as employees of said <br />department shall be paid an additional 39° of their base annual <br />salary thereafter until completion of the tenth year of cantinuous <br />full time service , after which such employees shall receive 4% <br />of their base annual salary thereafter until the completion of <br />the 15th year of continuous full time service, and thereafter <br />5°h of their base annual salary until after the completion of the <br />20th year of continuous full time service and during each year <br />• of full time service thereafter they shall receive 6% of their <br />base annual salary as longevity increments. <br />In computing length of service for the purpose of making <br />payments of the longevity increments hereinabove set forth, <br />no credit shall he given for part-time service but such limitation <br />is only for the purpose of computing longPVit~T increments and <br />the exclusion for park-time service shall riot der_rive service as <br />e^~plcveps •~f e'°her safety I~oa:-tme!~#. <br />
