~;;"~+'' ~- CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 6A-,3.3.,5 r 'h. u~ ,~ AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING COMPENSATION FOR FULL TIME AND PART TIME FIREMEN AND FULL TIME FIREMEN WOIIKING FOR THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ON THEIR OFF DUTY HOUR5 AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 65-271 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has recommended to Council that the salaries and wages of the firemen should be Increased; and WHEREAS, Council now wishes to do so. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: Section 1: That effective January 1, 1967, the base salaries of the members of the Fire Department are hereby fi xed and determined to b e as follows: Fire Chief $10, 000.00 Annually ~ d~ ~ ~ ~' Assistant Fire Chief $9, 000.00 Annually 9 ~ 3 ~' Fire Lieutenant Firemen for First Year $S, 000.00 Annually 100 00 Annuall $6 ~ 5-(~ 0, ~ ~° ~ "~• , . y Firemen for Second Year $6, 600, 00 Annually ~ j ~U' Firemen after Second Year $7, 500.00 Annually ~ ~~ ~ Part-Time Firemen $1.75 per hour i~v~~--~. Full-time Firemen working for the City of North Olmsted during ~ off duty hours $3.00 per hour ~•°~-~-- which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance semi-mon thly. Full time employees of the Fire Department having completed five years of full time continuous service as employees of said department shall be paid an additional 3% of their base annual salary thereafter until completion of the tenth year of continuous full time service, after which such employees shall receive 4% of their base annual salary thereafter until the completion of the 15th year of continuous full time service, and thereafter 5°k of their base annual salary until after the completion of the 20th year of continuous full time service and during each year of full time service thereafter they shall receive 6% of their base annual salary as longevity increments. In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments of the longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be given for part- tirne service but such limitation is only for the purpose of computing longevity increments and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive service as employees of either Safety Department . In addition to the regular base salary plus increment and other wage increases, all regular employees of the Fire Department, including officers shall on their original appointment and during the first calendar year during their appointment, receive 5300.00 clothing allowance and shall, during each calendar year thereafter, receive a clothing allowance of $150.00 to be determined and disbursed by and with the approval of the Fire Chief of the Department. ..
