<br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 66- a~ 7~ PAGE 2 <br /> <br />Section 3: The Engineer or any of his employees <br />shall not engage in any engineering services for <br />private developers who are developing areas in the <br />City of North Olmsted or any areas which abut the <br />areas of the City of North Olmsted or who have just <br />completed developing areas in the City of North <br />Olmsted within a period of one (1) year from the date <br />said engineer ssvers services with the City of North <br />Olmstea, unless said engineer receives permission, in <br />writing, from a committee composed of the Mayor, <br />President of Council, Director of 1='inance, Directar of <br />Public Service and Public Safety and the Director of <br />Law. Said committee shall act upan any request to <br />perform the prohibitive services within 30 days after <br />receiving a written request from the engineer. <br />' Section 4: That this Ordinance is hereby determined to <br />be an emergency measure necessary for the preservation <br />of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the City <br />by virtue of the necessity of making said position and <br />salary effective January 1, 1966. W'rIEREFORE, this <br />Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period <br />allowed by law . " <br />n <br />~J <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />WHEREAS, on December 21, 1965 , the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted created a division of engineering within the Department of Public Service <br />to be headed by a City Engineer; and <br />U <br />WHEREAS, Council now wishes to establish the annual salary and <br />duties of the City Engineer; and <br />WHEREAS, these duties and salary shall amend Ordinance No. 66-1 <br />enacted January ~, 1966, which ordinance amended Ordinance No. 65-318, <br />which created the position of City Engineer. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1: That this Council does hereby establish a Division of <br />Engineering, within the Department of Public Service which shall be headed by a <br />City Engineer, who is a Civil Engineer, registered as a professional Engineer in <br />the State of Ohio, whose duties shall be: <br /> <br />a. Give advice to Council, Mayor, Planning Commission <br />and other city administration officials on all problems <br />pertaining to engineering, zoning, building, sewers, <br />development and repair of property in the City of North <br />Olmsted, including, but not limited to the streets <br />therein. <br />b. Attend all Council and Planning Commission meetings and <br />when requested committee meetings and conferences, <br />etc . <br />c. Deliver to Gouncil periodic reports or reports as <br />requested on progress of improvements under his charge. <br />d. Prepare and update all city zoning and street maps. <br />e. To do any and all engineering work required ;;.,r and for <br />~he City of North Omsie~i or its :;ffic}~:?~~ . <br />
