t~.,~~-- <br />CITY GP NORTH t~LNiSTE]® <br />®RI~NANGE Nfl, fah- Ja / <br />BY 1 ~~y <br />AN ORDiNAI+tC£ '~ pliC?VIDE FOR THE PROPER GRAEtING <br />C3F I,AdvT13 WI"itl+ SUBDIVISIONS AIdL~ TO PROVIDE F'®R <br />THE ~NA~iE C7~' SURFACE WATER WITHIN'THE CITY <br />OF FORTH OLMBTED, AN 13 DECLARING AN EAtIERGEN CY <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer and the Building De~rtment halve <br />rexxacamencied that Cou~neil cxrnsider legislation pmvidi~ng for the proper grading <br />of land within subdivision, and <br />WHEREAS, lands in the Gity of North tJlmsted have collected water, <br />thereby creating stagnatnt water conditions injurious to the health of the residents <br />of the City of North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, this Ctiuncil deems it netaessary to provide for the proper <br />qir~ a~ land within subdivisions and in addition thereto to provide for the <br />t~inage of surface water on private as well as public propert,~, and <br />WHERErAS, Council wishes to establish procedures and guidelines t~~ <br />be followed by developers, builders and Koine owners for the establishment <br />. and maintenance of grades and to provide for the drainage of surface water. <br />NOW, THER~'ORE, BE IT ORDAINEL by the Council of the City of Nor~:h <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />T,~finitions <br />Seetior~ l: That, for the purpose of this ordinance, the followine~ <br />items, phrases, words and their derivatives shall have the meaning given ix <br />this section: <br />a. "Natural Grade" is the elevation of the undisturbed surface <br />of the ground before the start of construction. <br />b. '°Finisi~ed Grade" is the new final elevation of the ground <br />surface. <br />c. "Established Grade°' is the finished grade as shown on <br />an improvement plan or grading plan approved by the <br />City Engineer.
