<br />To levy special assessments for the improvement of Porter Road from Lorain
<br />Road to Southern Avenue proposed by grading, draining and slagging sane
<br />- Be it ordained by the Council of the Village of North Olmsted ,County
<br />of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio:
<br />Section 1. That the assessment of the cost and expense of improving
<br />Porter Road from Lorain Road to,Southern Avenue proposed
<br />by grading, draining ai-A slagging same
<br />ti in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor, amounting in the
<br />�.�, aggregate to Nineteen Thousand Six.Hundrad Thirteen and 131/3LOO Dollars( 19,613013)
<br />as reported to this council on the ^� day of '7jj,� , 19 C41
<br />by the Village Engineer, notice of the filing of which assessment has been J
<br />given as required by law, be and the same is hereby adopted and confirmed,
<br />and that there be and is hereby levied upon the lots and lands bounding and
<br />abutting upon said improvement, the several amounts reported as aforesaid,
<br />which assessments, together with the description of said lots and lands,
<br />are now on file in the office of the Clerk of this Council, and which assess-
<br />ments are at the rate of $ 2.15041 per foot front, and are not in excess of
<br />the special benefits to said property.
<br />_Section 29 That the total assessment against each lot or parcel of land
<br />shall be payable in cash ,within thirty (30) days from and after the passage
<br />of this ordinance, or, at the option of the owner, in five, annual installs
<br />ments with interest at the rate of 5- 1 2 or cent per,annumo All cash pay
<br />ments shall be made to the treasurer of said Villago. All assessments and
<br />installments thereof remaining unpaid at the expiration of said thirty days
<br />shall be certified by the Clerk of this Council to the County Auditor, as
<br />provided by law, to be by him placed on the 'tax duplicate and collectod'as
<br />other taxes arc collected,
<br />i Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
<br />after.the earliest period allowed by law.
<br />Read the first time Decomber,17, 1929
<br />Moved by Mr. Stine seconded by Mr. Christman, that the
<br />statutory,rule be suspended and that the above ordinance be read immediately
<br />the second and ,third times and put upon its passage. The affirmative-vote on
<br />said motion was as follow : Biddulph, Bidwell, Christman, Schindler, Seltzer,
<br />Stine
<br />Thereupon the ordinance was read the second and third times and put upon its
<br />passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Bi.ddulph, Bidwell, {
<br />Christirtan,., Schindler, Seltzer,' Stine. _
