ORDINANCE N0.: <br />AN ORDINANCE EMPLOYING <br />JOHN R. CLOYD VILLAGE <br />ENGINEER AND FIXING HIS <br />COMPENSATION. <br />TATE OF BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />OHIO: <br />' 1- °n 1• That John R. Cloyd be, and he is hereby employed as <br />i <br />Engineer of the Village of North Olmsted for a period beginning <br />�ediately upon passage of this ordinance and ending on the 31st day <br />December 1951, or until his 'successor is qualified and appointed, <br />�0 a0'all work which customarily devolves itself upon the Engineer. <br />b�c Sf 2• The employment and compensation of said engineer shall <br />a0 f�`1'ows ; <br />(a) <br />(b) <br />For services rendered as Engineer and the furnishing <br />of the necessary engineering supplies for which <br />contracts are let, the total cost.of which exceeds <br />$5,000, a sum equal to 7% of the total cost payable <br />3 upon completion of plans, profiles and estimates <br />and the remaining 4% as monthly estimates are rendered <br />and in proportion thereto. <br />For other Village engineering work of a general nature <br />where drafting, designing, estimating or field work <br />is necessary, the following rates shail apply and be <br />payable monthly, which includes drafting equipment; <br />field survey equipment.and instruments; also trans- <br />portation: <br />Helper Rodman or Chainman -- 2. X50 per hour <br />Instrument man — 3.00 per hour <br />Party Chief or Office Engineer, — y4.50 per hour <br />Registered Professional engineer <br />or Principal on Special Work, <br />Conference, Court Work, etc. — $5.00 per hour <br />For supervision of general engineering matters; <br />attendance at Court House, Cleveland City Hall$ <br />Council and necessary Planning Commission meetings; <br />advice to officials; general engineering office <br />services to the public and public utility corporations, <br />telephoniRE and general office correspondence; the sum <br />of $ /6.0 ° —° for the remainder of January and <br />each month thereafter, payable monthly. <br />byetion <br />said All finished plans, records, notes, etc . made and compiled <br />Aertai Engineer in the prosecution of his duties in said office and <br />Villaee. 6 o Village work shall belong to and be the property of the <br />��ction �, _. <br />a31, That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />��lfare necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health, <br />acce$8it and safety, and for the additional reason that the present <br />nd <br />all Of the Village requires the immediate services of an engineer <br />take effect and be in force from and after its passage. <br />ST i <br />i <br />MIX <br />MAYO OUNCI R <br />y <br />
