AN ORDINANCE <br />REWIRING OWNERS TO INSTALL ,A PIPE IN THE DITCH IN FRONT OF <br />THEIR PROPERTY BEFORE RECEIVING . A PERMIT TO . CONSTRUCT A BUILDIKG G <br />WHEREAS ditches along the streets in the Village <br />Of North Olmsted.are °losing their value for drainage purposes <br />due to the fact that people block the ditch in order to cross <br />from the street into their property, and <br />WHEREAS this Council - believes it would be to the <br />best interests of the Village to require'all persons to <br />install a corrugated pipe' in the ditch in front of their property <br />for the purpose of crossing from the street into the,property, <br />before obtaining a permit to construct,a building on their property <br />which will-require the entering into the property from the street; <br />nor, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of <br />North Olmsted, State.of Ohio <br />Section 1. That from and after the effective <br />date of this ordinance, no permit shall be issued to construct <br />a building on any property in the.Village of North Olmsted <br />Until the property ,owner has installed a corrugated drain pipe <br />In the road ditch for the purpose of crossing from the street <br />into the property and so as to permit a free flow of,water along <br />the ditch. <br />Section 2. That said pipe shall be installed <br />,under the supervision of the Building Inspector. <br />Section 3. Any person violating any of the pro. <br />gisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be <br />fined not to exceed 050.00. <br />Section 4.' This ordinance shall take effect and <br />be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law. <br />Passed: August 2, 1949: <br />
