Section 20 QUARANTINE OF ANIMALS. Whenever any <br />animal shall have bitten.any.person,_ the ;Chief of Police may <br />order such animal quarantined in the county dog kennels or in <br />a veterinarian's kennels for a period extending not longer <br />than ten days from the time of the biting. Any person being <br />the owner or in custody or possession of such an animal who <br />shall fail to cause such animal to be quarantined in con- <br />formity to such order, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor. <br />Section 3. Any person who shall violate any of <br />the provisions of this ordinance or any section or part of <br />section thereof, whether such violation shall consist of <br />the commission of an act forbidden thereby, or the failure <br />to perform any act required thereby, shall..be deemed 'guilty <br />Of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined <br />not to exceed 050.00. <br />Section 4. This ordinance is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure, the emergency being that it is <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of public peace, <br />health and safety and the daily operation of the police <br />department, that this ordinance be passed at'once and take <br />effect and be in force from and after its passage. <br />Passed: .9 19490 <br />
