Ordinance No. 844 <br />By Mr. Paddock <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />TO LEVY SIE CIAL ASSESSMENTS UPON ALL LOTS, LANDS AND REAL PROPERTY <br />WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF NORTH OLMSTED FOR THE FURNISHIfdG OF STREET <br />LIGHTING. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That there be and is hereby levied upon <br />all the lots, lands and real property within the Village of North <br />Olmsted, Ohio, a special.assessment for the purpose of paying the <br />cost of street lighting within said Village. Said assessment <br />shall be for the period of: one year, the tax year 1950, and shall <br />be collected as other taxes and assessments are collected. Said <br />special assessment shall be and is hereby levied by -a percentage <br />of the tax value of each lot, parcel of land or real property to <br />be so assessed and for the tax year 1950 shall be equal to .0003 <br />per cent of each dollar of the 1950 tax value. <br />Section 2. That this Council finds said assessment <br />to be within all limitations provided by law, and that such is <br />the fact as to each lot and parcel to be so assessed; that all <br />provisions of law necessary to the lawful levy of said assessment <br />have been fully complied with and that said .assessment is not in <br />any case in excess of the benefit. conferred upon the lots, lands <br />or real property being assessed. <br />Section 3. Said assessments shall be certified <br />by the Clerk of this Council to the County Auditor, as provided <br />by law,. to be by him placed on the tax duplicate for the year <br />1950, and collected as other taxes are collected. <br />Section 4. This ordinance is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure, the emergency being that it is necessary <br />for the immediate preservation of public health, peace, safety, <br />welfare and convenience; and therefore this ordinance shall take <br />effect and be in force from and after its passage. <br />Passed: August 15, 1950. <br />■ <br />
