Resolution No. 1530 <br />By Mr. zb _` <br />A RESOLUTION <br />REGULATING THE COMPENSATION OF OFFICERS AND EMPLGYEES OF THE <br />VILLAGE OF NORTH OLMSTED FOR OVERTIME WORK OR EXTRA WORK. <br />111HEREAS it is necessary from time to time that employees <br />of the Village work beyond the number of hours regularly con- <br />stituting a.work -day or work -week in the division or department <br />concerned or in other departments of the Village, and <br />V^JHEREAS it is the desire of the Council of the Village <br />of North Olmsted that such officers or employees shall be com- <br />pensated for such overtime work or extra work at the rate of pay <br />fixed by the salary ordinancesfor the work being performed as <br />extra work or overtime work, or, if the overtime is corked in <br />the department in which the employee is regularly engaged, and <br />there is no hourly rate fixed, then the extra work or overtime <br />work shall be paid for at the rate per hour computed by dividing <br />the monthly salary fixed,for the position by the number of hours <br />regularly constituting a work -month for the concerned division <br />or department, and <br />VHEREAS it is the desire of the Council that all extra <br />or overtime work shall be done under the direction and approval <br />of the Mayor; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOIV ED by the Council of the Village of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That from and after the effective date <br />of this resolution the Mayor may authorize any officer or <br />employee of the Village of North Olmsted to do extra work or <br />overtime work necessary for the economical operation of the <br />municipal departments of the Village of North Olmsted. <br />Section 2. Said officer or employee shall be allowed <br />compensation for said extra work or overtime work at the rate <br />per hour fixed by the salary ordinances of the Village of North <br />Olmsted for the work performed as extra work or overtime work, <br />or., if the extra work or overtime work is performed in the <br />division or department in which said employee or officer is <br />regularly employed, and there is no provision for hourly rate <br />of pay in the salary ordinances governing the same, then said <br />officer or employee shall be paid compensation at the rate per <br />hour computed by dividing the monthly salary fixed for the <br />position by the number of hours regularly constituting a work -* <br />month for the concerned division or department. <br />Section 3. This resolution is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure, necessary for the immediate preserva- <br />tion of public health, peace, , safety and welfare, and shall <br />take effect and be in force from and after its passage. <br />Passed: August 17, 1948. <br />Ll <br />r` -_____ _ C e r Mayor <br />gI � <br />r <br />
