<br />Present were C. J. Oviatt, P.Zayor, E. Baumgardner, F. Crider,
<br />F. Hatton, tildm. H. Kramer, R. Paddock, B. Scott.
<br />Judge James C. Connell administered the Oath of Office to
<br />TJlayor Oviatt, on Dec. 2T1, 1949.
<br />Moved Uy Mr. Baumgardner seconded by 11r. Kramer that the bond
<br />of Clarence J. Oviatt as Pdayor in the amount of $1000.00 by
<br />the Amer3can Surety Company of Nevr York, be approved. "Yeas"
<br />Baumgardner, Crider, Hatton, Kramer, Paddock, Scott.
<br />E. G. Hixson, Justice of the Peace administered the Oath of
<br />Office to Fred E. Hatton as Councilman on Dec. 27, 1949.
<br />Plloved by P,ir. Kramer seconded by Mr. Crider that Mr. Baumgzardner
<br />be nominated for President of Council. "yeas" Baurlgardner, Crider,
<br />Hatton Kramer, Pacldock. "Nays" Scott.
<br />The ivTayor read a communication from Guy R. V'Jheeler making
<br />application for the position of Solicitor at $2100.00 per yeAr.
<br />Resolution #1599 was introduced by NTr. Baumgardner. A Resolution
<br />employing a Solicitor. IFOVed and seconded that the statutory
<br />rule be suspended ancl the resolution be read immediately the
<br />second and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative
<br />vote on said motion vras as follows., Baumgardner, Crider, Hatton,
<br />Kramer, Paddock. "Nays" Scott. Thereupon the resolution was
<br />read the second and third times and put upon its passage and the
<br />affirmative vote thereon was as follows., Baumgardner, Crider,
<br />Kramer, Paddock. "Nays" Hatton, Scott.
<br />Ordinance #794 was introduced by Mr. Paddock. An Ordinance
<br />employing John R. Cloyd Village Lngineer and fixing his
<br />compensation.r?2oved and seconded that the statutory rule be
<br />suspended and the Ordinance be read immediately the second
<br />and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative
<br />vote on said motion yTas as follovrs., Baumgardner, Crider,
<br />Hatton, Kramer, Scott, Paddock. Thereupon the Ordinance was
<br />read the second and thirci times and-put upon its passa;e and the
<br />affirmative vote thereon was as f'ollows., Baumgardner, Crider,

<br />The-Mayor advised that he made the following appointments.

<br />Moved by Mr. Kramer seconded by irTr. Baumgardner that Fred
<br />Hatton be Council representative to the Planning Co-mmission.

<br />delivered.
<br />The following bonds, D. T. Hansen as Treasurer, P. Passig as
<br />?lectrical Inspector, Karl Kessler as Constable, and the
<br />folloyrins Bus Drivers, C. 8urns, R. L. Bierman,Ed Standen,
<br />Harold Limpert, Y. Lloyd, Joseph Glueck, Jr., C. ScYunidt,
<br />Wm• Bierman, A. Kreutzer, G. Bovrers; Don Cook, C. Truffin,
<br />x• rilluche, Norman Gainer, and H. Doll, were approved by the
<br />following affirmative vote, Baumgardner, Crider, Fiatton,
<br />Kx'amer, Pa,ddock, Scott.
<br />Resolution #1E00 was introduced by LIr. Kramer. A Resolution
<br />requestinG the County Auditor to turn over to the Village of
<br />North Olmsted any funds due said Village from the tax collec-
<br />tions of the February or AuLust settlements. Moved and seconded '-
