No. 2- Jan. 10, 1950 <br />Ordinance #795 was introduced Uy rrir. Kramer. An Ordinance to <br />make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures of the <br />Village of North Olmsted, Ohio, during the fiscal year ending <br />Dec. 31, 1950. tnoved and seconded that the statutory rule be <br />suspended and the Ordinance be read im.-,iediately the second and <br />third times and put on its passaLe. The affirmative vote an said <br />motion was as follows., Baumgardner, Crider, Hatton, Kramer, <br />Paddock, Scott. Thereupon the Ordinance was read the second and <br />third times and put upon its passage and the affirmative vote <br />thereon was as follows., Baumgardner, Crider, Hatton, Kramer, <br />Paddock, Scott. <br />Corlmunication was received from Governor Lausche w follovTS; <br />Pursuant to Section 204(j)(3) of the "Housing and <br />Rent Act of 1949" I hereby approve the Resolution of the <br />Council of the Village of North Olmsted, Cuyahoga County, <br />Ohio, which Resolution contains a finding that there no <br />longer exists such a shortage in rental housin€ accomodations <br />in the VillaSe of North 4lmsted, Ohio as to require rent control. <br />Dated Jan. 3, 1950 (Signed) Frank J. Lausche, Govenor <br />The Fire Chief's report for 1949 showed the department had <br />72 calls. 64 Fire calls and ? emerEency calls. There tivere <br />45 grass fires tvith no damage - and 13 buildings (estimated <br />value $110,650.00) with a loss of ?r5577.00. Nine cars or <br />trucks - estimated value $14,390.00 with a loss of 02500.00. <br />Five of the emergency calls were for the inhalator. One call <br />for assist from Ridbeville. <br />( Signed ) Wm. 11. Biddulph, Fire Chief. <br />The Fire Chief requested a nevr Fire Truck. It vras suGgested <br />that he make recommendations to the Safety Committee. <br />The f'ollowinE moneys vrere received N4176.95 Bus receipts. <br />630.00 Park donations. 696.00 LZrs. Laubscher.
