JULY 18, 1950. <br />MINU'rES OF A A'iEr;TING OF THE COUNCIL OI' THE VILLAGE OF <br />. NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />Present were Clarence J. Oviatt, Mayor, E. Baumgardner, Fred Hatton, Wm. H. <br />Kramer, Dr. C. B. I,ewis, Roger Paddock, B. F..Scott. <br />The minutes of July 5th were read and approved. The Mayor reported that he had met with the County Corrsnissioners and County <br />Engineers in connection with ButternutuRidge Road. 'The County Engineer advised' <br />that it would be impracticable to resurface 13utternut Nidge, due to the <br />deterioration of the base; however, the County has agreed tn submit a Consent <br />Ordinance to be adopted by our Council for authority to proceed with the'repair <br />of the bad spots'-- and the County will undertake to do°the drainage. It will <br />be a graded ditch. Al1 excess dirt will be hauled away and the berm will be <br />lower than the pavement. <br />Resolution #1656 was introduced by Mr. Baumgardner. A Resolution declaring it" <br />necessary to provide street lighting within the Village, approving plans and <br />specifications therefor, providing for levy of special assessments to pay the <br />cost thereof, and.authorizing the Clerk to advertise for bids for furnishing said, <br />lighting. It was moved and seconded that the statutory rule be suspended and <br />the Resolution be read immediately.the second and third times and put on its <br />passage. The affirmative'vote on:said motion was as follows: Baumgardner, Hatton, <br />Kramer, Lewis, Paddock, Scott, "Thereupon the Resolution was read the second and <br />third times and put upon its passage and the affirmative vote was as follows: <br />Baumgardner, Hatton, Kramer, Lewis, Paddock, Scott. , <br />Nir. Scott, Chairman of Building and Grounds Committee, reported that we needed • <br />a building to house the neyr grader and other equipment. New location was dis- <br />cussed. <br />The Mayor advised that N?rs. DiVello, 3005 Cla e?oad had asked that her request <br />to operate a Danish Pastry businessin'her gaage be considered again. It was <br />decided that this request not be granted, as it would be in violation of our ' <br />Zoning Ordinance. <br />Mr. Crider, Building Commissioner, xequested that the Council amend Section 33 <br />of Ordinance No. 592 by the addition of the words "on interior lots" in paragraph <br />(a) a.nd by the addition of section (c) as given: <br />Sectian 33. ACCESSORY BUILDINGS <br />(a) In any Residence District, accessory buildings on interior <br />lots shall be at least ten (10) feet from the center of an <br />adjoining alley and at least ten (10) feet from any street <br />line. <br />(b) In any Kesidence District, accessory buildinbs on a corner <br />lot, the rear line of which is the side line of another lot, <br />shall not be closer to the side street than the depth of front <br />yard required in the District in which such adjoining lot is <br />situated. Such accessory building shall also be at least <br />five (5) feet from said common lot line, unl.ess the distance from : <br />the side street to the building be at least twenty (20) feet <br />greater than the required depth of front yard in said District. <br />(c) Exceptions in accessory buildings are those used to house domes- <br />ticated or captured animals, fowls, fish or reptiles. Such <br />buildings shall be at 1.east ten (10) feet from comrnon property <br />lines and at least one hundred (100) feet from any human <br />habitation. Dog shelters are excluded from the exceptions ' <br />above stated. <br />Ordinance #829 waS introduced by Mr. Baumgardner. An Ordinance amending <br />Sections $, 9 and 33 of Ordinance No. 592 as amended by Ordinance #761, ?own <br />as the Zoning Ord3.nance. This Urdinance was given its first reading only. <br />?
