<br />According to advertisement in Suburban News, two bids were received for water
<br />mains on Gessner and Porter Roads.

<br />Resolution #1657 was introduced by lvir. Baumgardner. A Resolution accepting the
<br />bid of Cooper Construction Company for the installation of a water main in Gessner :
<br />Road, f rom Loraa.n Road to Walter Road. It was mQVed and seconded that the
<br />statutory rule be suspended and the Resolution be read immediately the second
<br />and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote thereon was as
<br />fol.lows; Ba,umgardner, Hattan, Kramer, Lewis, Paddock, Scott. Thereupon the
<br />Resolution was read the second and third times and put upon its passage and the
<br />affirmative vnte thereon was as follows: Baumgardner, Hatton, Kramer, Lewis,
<br />Paddock, Scott.
<br />Resolution #1658 was introduced by Mr. Kramer. A Resolution accepting the
<br />bid of George Gantose for the installation of a water main in Porter.`ttoad,
<br />from I,orain Road to the north line of the S. S. Scherrer property. It was
<br />rOved and seconded that the statutory rule be suspended and the Hesolution be

<br />Joe Stemitz complained about trucks speeding on Columbia Ftoad. The Niayor said
<br />the matter Vrould be called to the attention of the Police Department - also
<br />that he wouZd get in touch with the State Highway Patrol in regard to checking
<br />weights of trucks.
<br />Halsey Barawell asked that 'Ahitethorn Avenue be retopped. He was advised that
<br />this could not be done, but that the holes would be repaired with cold patch
<br />immediately.

<br />mr . Graham, a representative of Condensation ?gineering Corp. Chicago, asked
<br />Council to approve the Vitroliner Flues which they manufacture. The matter
<br />was referred to the Bui.lding Commissioner.
<br />Ordinance #830 was introduced by 14r. Kramer. An Ordinance fixing the Compen-
<br />sation for Inspectors. It was moved a.nd seconded that the statutory rule be
<br />suspended and the Ordinance be read immediately the second and third times
<br />and put on.its passage. The affirmative vote thereon w4s as follows: Bawm-
<br />oardner, Hatton, Kramer, Lewis, Paddock, Scott. Thereupon the Ordinance was

<br />Ordinance #831 was introduced by Mr. Kramer. An Ordinance repealing Ordinance
<br />#813 passed A2ay 2, 1950. It was r.oved and seconded that the statutory rule be
<br />suspended and the Ordinance be read immediately the second and third times and
<br />put on its passage. The affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Baumgardner,
<br />Hatton, Kramer, Lewis, Paddock,, Scott. Thereupon the Ordinance was read the
<br />second and third times and put upon its passage, and the afFirmative vote thereon
<br />was as follows: Baumgardner, Hatton, Kramer, Lewis, Paddock, Scott.
<br />It was moved and seconded that the Clerk certify the life of the Frank and
<br />Marion improvernents, "Yeas" Baumgardner, Hatton, Kramer, Lewis, Paddock,, Scott.
