<br />Corununication vras received from Tom Aten, requesting that
<br />the property at Lorain & Barton Road be changed from residence
<br />to retail business by extending the business frontage on Lorain '
<br />F.oad 233 feet by 490 feet. The matter was referred to the
<br />Planning Commission. .
<br />Mr. Nader requested to knovr the reason that his property was
<br />not cYianged from residence to retail business.

<br />The I,.Iagor advised him that there was no necessity for
<br />increased business area, and=that outside assistance, such -
<br />as The Resional Planning Com.Yliss3.on should be called in to
<br />make the recommendations for places of business.

<br />property just the same as the others.
<br />Ordinance J#805 was introduced by Mr. Kramer. An Ordinance
<br />determining to proceed vrith the improvement of Dover Center
<br />Road, from Lorain Road to the north line of the property of
<br />the Surban Land Corporation, by constructing therein a
<br />water main. TPoved and seconded that the statutory rule be
<br />suspended and the Ordinance be read immediately the second and
<br />third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote

<br />Hatton, Kramer, Paddock, Scott. Thereupon the Ordinance was
<br />read the second and third times and put upon its passage and

<br />Resolution #1612 was introduced by IJir. Kramer. A Resolution
<br />appointing Board to report estinated assessments to pay the
<br />cost and expenses of improving Dover Center Road, from
<br />Lorain Road to the north line of the Suburban Land Corp.,
<br />by constructing therein a water main. Moved and seconded
<br />that the statutory rule be suspended and the Ordinance be
<br />read immediately the second and third times and put on its
<br />passage. The affirmative vote on said motion vJas as follovrs,

<br />upon the Resolution was read the second and third times and

<br />consenting to the maintEnance and repair of certain streets
<br />and roads by the Board of County Commissioners oi' Cuyahoga
<br />County. IvIoved and seconded that the statutory rule be
<br />suspended and the Ordinance be read immediately the second
<br />and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative

<br />Kortz be paid 6v10.00 for damages to his tire and rim from
<br />hitting a hole in the pavement on Butternut Ridge. r'Yeas"

<br />The Engineer reported that the estimated cost of construct-
<br />ing Porter Road water main vrould be $4.5721 per foot.
<br />Moved and seconded that the Clerk be instructed to write a
<br />letter of sympathy to Mrs. Claude Har.mond. "Yeas" Baumgardner,
<br />Crider, Hatton, Kramer, Paddock, Scott.
<br />N<oved and seconded that the Tiayor and Clerk be authorized.to
<br />buy 400' of 2" fire hose and 300' of 1-1/2" hose. "Yeae"
