JUNE ?, 1955 <br />MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OIMSTED, OHIO <br />Present were L. H. Baker., Harry M. Crider, R. L. Decker, R. G. Knapps Wm, N, Kramer. <br />Absent were Dr. C. B. Lewis, Messrs. E. W, Baumgardner, R. G. Neubauer., G. N. Schwenk, <br />The meeting was opened by 5o1ic3.tor F. G. Kitson. <br />k motion was made'and seconded.noaninating William H. Kramer to act as Temporary <br />, Cha,iiman of the meeting.: "Ysas" Baker$ Crider$ Decker, Knapp. <br />A motion was made by Mr.'Baker and sscanded by Mr. Crider that the minutes of <br />May 17s 1955be approved as read. "Yeas" Bakers, Crider, Decker, Knapp, <br />? A motion was made by Mr. Crider and seconded by Mr. Baker that the minutes of <br />June l, 1955 be approved as read. "Yeas" Baker., Crider, Decker, Knapp. <br />Mr. K. W. Pfisterer of 25027 Gessner ftoad represented a group of c3tizens from that <br />road, who complained about the damage suffered in the recent heavyy rains. They <br />wondered whether the size of the ' storm sewer was large enough for the nuznber of new <br />homes already built, and the additional homes contemplated being erected in that <br />section. The matter was referred to the Enginesr to be checked. <br />Mr. Gr3fYith9, 5672 Porter xoad complained about the large amount oY water on Porter <br />Road during a heavy raina The Engineer stated it would help the Porter Road situation <br />if and when a storm sewer was insta7led in Decker Road. He said the matter would be <br />checked into to see what could be done. Mr. George Reinker of 0lmsted Drive represented a group of residents who wanted to <br />knaw if Council could do azything about getting their street finished. He also cam- <br />Plained about the drainage ditch to the rear cf their proparties - he stated it ` <br />needed cleaning, and if possible they'would like it tiled. Ths Engineer iziformed <br />him that Mr. English will Pix up;the first sect3on of Westchester Dr3ve, arri that he <br />is preparing to take b3ds on.the balance of the atreet work, The Service D3rector <br />informed Mr. Reinker that the heavy brush and growth in the ditch had been cut out, <br />and that we had let out a contract to hava the ditch cleaned. IS they wanted the <br />ditch tiled, the engineer wo4d recommend the size, and 3t would be up to the property <br />owners to stand the cost.' <br />Mr, Baltrinic of 25166 Gessner Rd. ` complained about the ditch draining his area, <br />The matter was referred to the Enginesr. <br />f Mr. Crider resd the Health Reporttbr the month of April. <br />The Service Director reported that Bus #54 was sold for $500,00. <br />The Building Ccomissioner's report was read showing that permits in the amount of <br />$1079.$0 were issued during the month of May. Estimated cost of building vra.s <br />$9]-3#340.00. <br />A motion wa9 made by Mr. Crider and $econded by Mr. Decker that:the bond of Ace <br />Coastruction Co. by Aetna Casualty & Indemnity Co, in the amount oY $33,700.00 for <br />porter Road #2 water raain be approved.
