<br />A motion was made by Mr. Kramer and seconded by Mr. Schwenk that the mizna.tes ?

<br />The Safety-Service Director reported that the Board of Control had awarded
<br />rlarks Tractor and Equipment Co. the bid f or an A13is Chaimers bulldozer : in the ,

<br />Resolution #2131 was introduced by Mr. Kramer. A Resolution autharizing and
<br />directing the Director of Public Service to' enter into a contract for the `
<br />purchase of a bull.dozero It was moved and seconded that the'above Resolution be adopted:as rea.d. "Yeas" Baker, Crider, Decker,,Kramer, Schwenk.
<br />Mr. Knapp is present. .. ' •
<br />N?r. Neubauer, Chairman of the Transportation Committee,reported that a meeting
<br />was held with the Service Director and Superin.tendent of Maintenance. The
<br />Service Director recommended putting in larger storage tanks for Fuel Oil, enabling
<br />us to purchase this;product in transport quantities, which will effect a saving
<br />to the Bus Line of approx.ima.tely w2,000.00 per year. It wi11 cost $2,000.00
<br />to install the tanks; so the first year we will not save an3rthing. The Transpor-
<br />tation Committee recomrnendg that the Service Director be authorized to go ahead
<br />with this installation.
<br />Resolution #2132 was introduced`by Mr. Schwenk.'.A Resolution authorizing and
<br />directing the Director of Public Service to enter,into a contraet for the
<br />purchase of a fuel oil tank. It was moved and secotlded that the statutory nile
<br />be suspended and the Resolution"be read ia¢nediately the second and third times
<br />and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion was as follows:
<br />Baker, Cridero Decker, Knapp, Kramer,,Schwenk. •Thereupon the Resolution was read
<br />the second and third times and put upon its passage and'the affirmative vote
<br />thereon was as follows: Bal;er, Crider, Decker,Knapp, Kram.er, Schwenk. '
<br />Mr. Neubauer stated that the Service Director recommended the discontinuation of
<br />the Butternut ftidge runs on Sundays. A check showed 10 to 20 passengers on eight
<br />trips. If this run was discontinued,.it would also elimina.te the services of •
<br />a starter. It will be necessary to have a meeting with the Fairview Transpora-
<br />tion Cottanittee before any definite action can be taken, which will probably be
<br />arranged the early part of next week.
<br />The Solicitor suggested that Council take some`action against NIr. Phil Engl.ish
<br />in regard to the eondition of S'lestchester Drive. °
<br />, Mr. Crider read the Health Report for the month of March. ..
<br />? It was suggested that the Chairman of our Ditch Committee get in touch with the
<br />Chairm.an of the Fairview Ditch Committee and have ajoint raeeting to see if some-
<br />thing could be worked out regarding the ditch west of the Fairview line, baclc af
<br />W. 229th Street. :
<br />The Safety-Service Director stated that start3ng this week-end,'a petition would
<br />w- be ` circulated' in Fitch Road for sidewalks.
<br />The Mayor proclaimed Saturday.,'June 11, 1955 ALL 5COUTS DAY in the City of
<br />North`Olmsted. .. .
<br />? Mrs. Davidson extended an invitation to all City Officials to attend the activi-
<br />; ties.of "ALL SCOUTS DAY" in North Olmsted Park. `
