<br />NORTH OLMS'TEM, OHIO
<br />Present were Dr. C. B. Lew3s, Mayor, E. W. Baumgardner, President of Council,
<br />L. H. Baker, Harry M. Crider, R. L. Decker, William H. Kramer, Bruce W. MacDonald, R. G. Neubauer, G. H. Schwenk.
<br />Also present were F. G. Kitson, Solicitor., James F. Votava, Safety-Service
<br />Director, Everett Dean, Enginesr, E. M. Christman, Clerk.
<br />Due to January lst falling on the first Tuesday, and bei.ng a le;al holiday, the
<br />meeting was helc3 on 1rlednesclay, January 2nd.
<br />' A motion was made by Mr. Baker and seconded by Mr. Kramer that the minutes of '
<br />December 18, 1956 be approved as read. "Yeas" Baker, Criders Decker, Kramer,,
<br />Ma.cDonald, Neubauer, Schwenk.
<br />The Safety-Service Director reported that bids were taken on December 22nd for the
<br />installation of a water main in Brookpark Extension. He stated the Engineer's esti-
<br />mate wa,s $17,025.00 and that the Board of Control recorpended the acceptance of
<br />P.,DiGioials bid in the amount of $14,103.00. -
<br />Resolution #2416 was introduced by Mr. Kramer. A Resolution accepting bid for
<br />labor and material for improvement of Brookpark Road from Martin Drive easterly
<br />1322046 feet, by constructing therein a water main. It was moved and seconded that
<br />the statutory rule be suspended and the Resolution be read immediately the second
<br />and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion was
<br />as follows: Bakero Crider, Decker, Kramer, MacDonaldp Neubauer? Schwenk.. Thera-
<br />upon the Resolution was read the sscond and third times and put upon its passage
<br />and the affirmative vote thereon wa.s as follows: Baker, Crider, Decker, Kramer,
<br />M,acDonald, Neubauer, Schwenk.
<br />The Safety-Service Director•appointed Andrew W. Koze11, Jr. as Dog Warden, effective
<br />? January 3, 1957.

<br />A motion wag made by Mr. Decker and seconded by Mr. Neubauer that the above appoint-

<br />The Safety-Service Director read communications from Heine, Crider and Wi.ll.iamson,
<br />and The Hoelzl Martini Construction Co. 3.n which we we:e informed that the new f3re
<br />houses wi11'be turned'over to us on Ja.nuary 31, 1957.

<br />#2417 was introduced by Mr. Rramer. An Ordinance:to make temporary appro-
<br />Ordinance
<br />priations for current expense5 and other expenditures of the City of North OLnsted,
<br />Ohio during the fiscal year ending December 31, 1957. It was moved and seconded
<br />that the statutorrule be suspended and the Ordinance be read.immediately the
<br />second and thirdtimes and puton its passage. Ths affirmative vote on said motion
<br />was as follows: Baker, Crider, Decker, Kramer, MacDonald, Neubauer, Schw6nk.
<br />Thereupon the Ordinance was read the second and third times and put upon its pas-

<br />Neubauer re orted that tYie Transportation Committee met w3.th the Olmsted
<br />T°wnship Trustees on December 20th in connection with getting warning signals at
<br />' the Bronson and Fitch railroad crossings. Mr. Schwenk is to attend the PUCO meet-
<br />irig at Colwnbus with the Olmsted Township Trustees. '
<br />Ordinance #2418 wa,s introduced by Mr. Schwenko An Ordinance authorizing the Mayor
<br />to travel.and to order travel by city officers, agents and employees. It was moved
<br />and scconded that the statutory rule be suspended and.the Ordinance be read imme-
<br />diately the second and third times`and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on
<br />? said motion Vras as fo7.lows: Baker, Crider, Decker, Kramer, MacDonald, Neubauer,
<br />t Schwenk. Thereupon the Ordinance Vras read the aecond and third times and put upon
