<br />The Safety-Service Director reported that the Board of Control aVraxded the ?
<br />bid for the Test Hole Borings'to the Toleda Testing Laboratories for =

<br />Resolution No, 2495 was intraduced by Mr. Crider. A Resolution awarding ;
<br />contract for test bora.ngs to the Toledo Testing Laboratories. It t,ras moved '
<br />and seconcled that the statutory rule be suspended and the Resolution be
<br />read immecLi.ately the second and tha.rd times and put on ita passage. The '
<br />affirmative vote an said motion was as foLl.ows; Baker, Crider., Decker'
<br />Kramer, MacDona7.d, Neubauert Schwenk. Thereupon the Resolution was read
<br />the second and third times and put upon its passage and the affirmative ?

<br />lir. Krarner, Chairman of the Fina.nce Committee, reported that a.£ter considera-
<br />tion by the Finance and Safety Cvn-Atties, it is recomended that the Police '
<br />and Firempns salaries be increased six percent (6%) effective June 16., 1957. I
<br />Ordinance P1o, 2496 was intraduced by Mr. Balcer. Ai Ordinance amending ?
<br />Section 1 and 2 of Ordinance No, 2356, entitled "An Orclinance determi.ng
<br />salariesj, wages and bonds of appointed officials and employees of the City j
<br />of Nortli Olmsted Ohio and Section 2 of said Ordinance No. 2356. <It was 7-1
<br />moved and seconded that the statutary rule be suspended and the Orclinance
<br />be read immediately the second and third times and put on 'its passage. The ;
<br />affirmative vote on said motion waa as follows: Baker, Crider, Decker., `

<br />requested a rieeting of the Safety-SErvice Di.rector, the Auditor., Transportati-on

<br />The m.atter of advertising "Echo Springs" on the large advertising space on the '
<br />left side of five'buses would increase our revenue $1,800.00 a year under a
<br />three year contracts` The consensus of opinion of Council was in the affirm-

<br />Mr. Decker, Chairman of the Safetg Co;amattee, stated that we should continue '
<br />the teletype service because it was val?Lable ta the Police Department.

<br />lights on various streets tiaas OK. There being 130 lights with 4 lights .

<br />T'ne Engineer reported' that the esta.mated cost for installing sidewa].ks on
<br />both sides of Stearns Road is $44,530.00 or $4.5702 Per faot.

<br />it-necESSarY to improve Stearns Road, byconstructing and installing a
<br />five foot concrete public sidewalk on botli sides thereof* It was moved azid
