<br />A motion was made by Mr. Crider and seconded by Mr. MacDonald that the Engineer
<br />be instructed to prepare plans and apecifications f or sidewalks. "Yeas" Baker,

<br />Mr. Schwenk, Chairman of Municipal Properties Coanmittee went over a list of
<br />equip¢nerit needed in the two new fire houses.
<br />A motion was made by Mr. Schwenk and seconded by Mr. Crider that the Safety--
<br />service Director be authorized to start buying'the equipanent reccenmended by the
<br />Safety-Ccmmittee for the two new fire houses. "Yeas" Baker, Crider, Deckgr,

<br />It was suggested that the Safety and Properties Cam-nittees arrange for Open
<br />House as soon as the new stations are coQnpleted.
<br />A letter was read written by Hoelzl Martini Construction Co. to the Architects
<br />reporting three windows broken by vandals at the No. 2 Fire Station, damage
<br />amounting to approximately $100.00. This will be paid by our Insurance Company.
<br />Mr. MacDonald read the Health Report f or the mortth of September.
<br />A petit3.on was received for the installation of a water m.ain on Kennedy Ridge
<br />Road, which was signed by approximately 70% of the owners, but lacked the neces-
<br />sary 60% oP frontage.
<br />A motion was made by Mr. Schwenk and seconded by Mr. Baker that the Engineer be
<br />authorized to prepare plans a,nd specifications for a water main in Kennedy Ridge
<br />Road and tha,t it be put through as an emergency measure due to the health and
<br />safety factor. "Yeas" Baker, Crider.. Decker, Kramer, MacDonald, Neubauer, Schwenk.
<br />Mr. Yehlik appeared before Council regarding the acceptance of pla.t of Olmsted
<br />Farms Subdivision No. 2. Mr.-Yehlik was instructed to have the Engineer get legal
<br />descriptions of properties thraugh which the ditch runs, and turn them over to
<br />Mr. Kitson as soon as possible. The city will get the easements so that the ditch
<br />.
<br />may be cleaned. _
<br />A letter was received fran K& L Builders requesting acceptance oY Rosita Lane,
<br />so that their bond may be released.
<br />A motion was made by Mr. Baker and seconded by Mr. Schwenk that the Engineer be
<br />requested to make final inspection arri report back at the next meeting. "Yeas"

<br />The Mayor read a communication Yroan the State Highway Department in which they
<br />stated tr.at when the City Council passes the necessary legislation,to participate
<br />50% in the cost af resurfaci.rg Lorain Road,,they will give consideration'to
<br />programming this project for 1957 constructlon.
<br />A letter was also read frcm the State Highway Department giving the results of
<br />24-haur traffic volume counts made at ten locations on Lorain Road in North
<br />Oltnsted. '
<br />Mr. Schwenk nominated Mr. Kraraer as delegate to attend the Armual Convention of '
<br />Ca?ununity Hospital on January 21, 1957.
<br />There being no fl.irther nominations, a motion was made and seconded that ncaninations
