<br />MINUTES OF A MEETING CF TBE COUNCIL CF: THE CITY OF

<br />Pres ent were Dr. C. B. Lewis, Mayor, E, W,.Baumgardners President of Council,
<br />L. H. Baker, Harry M. Crider, R. L. Decker., William H. Kramer,,Bruce W. MacDonald,

<br />Also present were F. G. Kitson, Solicitor, Everett Dean, Engineer, E. M. Christman,
<br />Clerk. James F. Votava, Safety-Service Director was absent.
<br />'k motion was made by Mr. Schwenk and seconded by lir. Kramer that the minutes of
<br />? October 2, 1956 be approved as changed. "Yeas" Bakers Crider, Decker, Kramer.,
<br />MacDonald, Neubauer, Schwenk.
<br />' A comnunication was read from the Planning Commission, recammending that Council
<br />? accept the plat of Franklyn Yehlik for Olmsted Farms Sub-Divisian No. 2 for dedi-
<br />? cation of streets, provided the City Engineer atates that the aewer plan would be
<br />i: acceptable to the city. In addition the developer must present a deposit of lj%
<br />: of estimated sewer, water, streets and sidewalk cost, to cover inspection of work
<br />plus a bond to cover the above mentioned improvements. The Clerk read a letter
<br />frcm Engineer Cloyd, approving everything but drainage.
<br />A motion was made by Mr. Crider arr.i seconded by Mr. Baker that action on the
<br />abrn?e be tabled until Mr. Yehlik catld appear before the Council. "Yeas" Bakers
<br />. Crider, Decker, Kramer, MacDonald, Neubauer,<Schwenk.
<br />A Comnunication was raad froen the Planning Coeamaission recommending that Counc3l
<br />accept plat oP Joseph Bauer, t'or Butterrnit Subdivision #l for recording purposes
<br />°nlY, provided the developer make a a deposit oP lj% of estimated cost of water
<br />and sewer installation.for inspection of work, and provided a letter is received
<br />? frcni Messrs. C?oyd a;nd Dean stating that the sewer and water plans are acceptable,
<br />? and further provided that turn-arounds are provided at ths ends of Stadium and
<br />? Andrea Drives.
<br />? The Engineer's letter was read approving sewer and water plans, and estimating the
<br />cost of paving, sidewalk;- sewer arxi water t o be approximately $101.,500.00.

<br />? #2374 was introduced by Mr. Baker. An Ordinance accepting plat oP
<br />? o°sePh Bauer's Butternut Sub-Division #1 for sub-division and recording purposes
<br />nlY. Tt was moved and secorrled that the statutory rule be suspended and the
<br />Ordinance be read immediately the second and third timss and put on its-passage.
<br />The afPirYnative vote on said motion was as follawss Baker, Crider.. Decker, Kramers
<br />MaeDonald, Neubauer, Schwenk. Thereupon the Urdinanee was read the second and
<br />third time8 and put upon its passage and the afYirmative vote thereon was as fol-

<br />The Planning Coanmission recamnended to Caulcil, the adoption of changes, aaai-
<br />tions and new section to the City Zoning Ordinance. There wil]. be a 3oiiit meet-
<br />'ng of Council and Planning Ccmmission on Tuesday, October 23, 1956 to study the
<br />Z°ning Ordinance.
<br />Mr. Kraxner, Chai:man of the Finance Ca?nittee' stated that a request had been made
<br />for two.new trucks for the Service Department; hawever, the Finance Canunittee
<br />recommended that the Safety-Service Director advertise for bids for one truck, and
<br />that this be p rt irchased if the o p erati ng le v y carries.

<br />? Ordinance #2375.was introduced by Mr. Neubauer. An Ordina.nce fixing the rates of

<br />? fare Yor transportation service on the North 03msted14mi6ipal Bus Line on and
<br />after November l, 1956. It was maved and seconded that the statutory rule be sus..
<br />Pended and the Ordinance be read immediately the secord and third times and put, on
<br />its Passage. The aPfirmative vate on said motion was as folla+s: Baker, Crider,
<br />Aecker, Kramer,,MacDona,ld, Neubauer, 5chwenk0 Thereupon the Ordinance was read
<br />the second and third timea and put upon its passage and the affirmative vote there-
