• Literature racks and new desk entry area.
• Mechanical HVAC modifications required by the entry desk area work.
• Electrical work consisting of convenience power for the entry desk, lighting the entry desk
area, and communications rough-ins where required for the Owner's provider installation.
• Plumbing consisting of a review of the plumbing fixtures in the existing locker/toilet rooms
and replacement where required.
Additional design services:
• Additional design services will be provided to complete services for the additional design
options or additional planning studies requested by the Owner under an allowance provided
in the contract.
Other general considerations:
• The audio system/tv equipment, exercise equipment, and FFE (loose fixtures, furnishings
and equipment such as desks, chairs, and blinds) will be selected, purchased, and installed by
Owner's forces. We will coordinate with the suppliers to provide the required electrical
power, conduit, blocking,or other conditions required for their installation.
• The proposed structural loads of the exercise equipment have been evaluated and approved
previously by the Owner's structural engineer.
• The work will be performed under a lump sum general contract.
• The Owner will provide any record drawings of the existing building available to them.
This proposal assumes that drawings of the existing construction are available as discussed
and field measurements will be limited.
• The budget will be developed as the project progresses.
These services will be provided in accordance with ALA document B101, Standard Form of
Agreement Between Owner and Architect, 2007 edition (a blank sample was previously forwarded
to you). This is a comprehensive professional services contract and we are proposing the full
standard services from schematic design through the completion of the project. This contract is
coordinated with the family of documents that I would recommend using on the project for
bidding and construction. The fee would be a lump sum of $28,000.00 plus an allowance for
additional design services of $6,000.00 for a total of $34,000.00.
Should this general proposal meet with your approval,I will complete the ALA form for forwarding
to your law director for review. If there are any questions regarding this proposal, or if you would
like to sit down and review it with me, please feel free to call. I look forward to working with you
on this exciting project.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey A. Grusenmeyer,RA,NCARB,President
JEFFREY A. GRUSENMEYER&ASSOCIATES,INC.,ARCHITECTS
Proposal Revised
2
