Council Minutes of 01-21-2014 <br /> LEGISLATION <br /> Ordinance 2013-112 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An <br /> Ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a two-year <br /> agreement with A & J Distribution in order to provide for vending and video game <br /> machines at the North Olmsted Recreation Center, and declaring an emergency. <br /> Councilman Brossard moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br /> Kearney and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2013-112 adopted 7-0. <br /> Resolution 2013-115 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br /> Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Cintas Corporation to <br /> provide uniform rental services to the city's Service Department employees, and <br /> declaring an emergency. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The motion was <br /> seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Resolution 2013-115 adopted <br /> 7-0. <br /> Ordinance 2014-1 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br /> Ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br /> expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2014, and <br /> declaring an emergency. Councilman Kearney made a motion to suspend the rule <br /> requiring three readings as this was discussed in a Finance Committee meeting. The <br /> motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman <br /> Kearney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and <br /> passed unanimously. Ordinance 2014-1 adopted 7-0. <br /> Ordinance 2014-2 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br /> Ordinance amending the rates of compensation for various Administrative and <br /> Legislative personnel for the years 2012, 2013 and 2014 to retroactively restate the 2013 <br /> and 2014 salary ranges for the City Prosecutor and Nutrition Aides; to amend Section 8C <br /> to retroactively allow for support personnel (part-time/seasonal); to amend Section 7 D6 <br /> for an increase in the range for support personnel (part-time/seasonal) for 2014; and to <br /> otherwise restate the compensation rates and descriptions for various Administrative and <br /> Legislative personnel for the years 2012, 2013 and 2014, and declaring an emergency. <br /> Resolution 2014-3 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilwoman <br /> Williamson. A Resolution dispensing with the Request for Proposal ("RFP") process and <br /> authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the Ohio Attorney General to <br /> perform delinquent debt collection services. <br /> Ordinance 2014-4 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br /> Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 2012-57 to establish additional fees ranges for newly <br /> created fitness programs and to restate the program fees for use of park and recreation <br /> facilities. <br /> Resolution 2014-5 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br /> Resolution authorizing the Mayor to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to <br /> provide construction and renovation services at the North Olmsted Recreation Center to <br /> include front lobby redesign, new fitness area and pool locker rooms, and authorizing the <br /> 4 <br />
