Council Minutes of 12-17-2013 <br /> Resolution 2013-110 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br /> Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into one-year renewal contracts with TAC <br /> %By. Computer Inc. in order to provide maintenance and repair services to computer hardware <br /> and software in both the North Olmsted Police and Fire Departments, and declaring an <br /> emergency. Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to suspend the rule requiring <br /> three readings as this was discussed in committee and it's necessary to have the contract <br /> in place by the beginning of the year. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney <br /> and passed unanimously. Councilwoman Williamson moved for adoption. The motion <br /> was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Resolution 2013-110 <br /> adopted 7-0. <br /> Ordinance 2013-112 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br /> Ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a two-year <br /> agreement with A & J Distribution in order to provide for vending and video game <br /> machines at the North Olmsted Recreation Center, and declaring an emergency. <br /> Resolution 2013-113 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br /> Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the Western Reserve <br /> Area Agency on Aging ("WRAAA") to accept grant funds pursuant to the Older <br /> Americans Act for senior community services in order to provide for Title III C Nutrition <br /> and Family Caregiver Support Programs (RFP) at the Senior Center; and declaring an <br /> emergency. Councilman Barker made a motion to suspend the rules requiring three <br /> readings and formal committee review as this was discussed in Caucus and has to be in <br /> place by the end of the month. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and <br /> passed unanimously. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. The motion was seconded <br /> by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Resolution 2013-113 adopted 7-0. <br /> Resolution 2013-114 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br /> Resolution authorizing the Mayor to purchase for Police Department use two (2) new <br /> Ford Utility Police Interceptors and related equipment, all through the State Purchase <br /> Program; and further authorizing the Mayor to execute all documents necessary to <br /> effectuate such purchase, and declaring an emergency. Councilwoman Williamson made <br /> a motion to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review as <br /> this was discussed in Caucus and is necessary in order to purchase these vehicles through <br /> the State Purchase Program. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and <br /> passed unanimously. Councilwoman Williamson moved for adoption. The motion was <br /> seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Resolution 2013-114 <br /> adopted 7-0. <br /> Resolution 2013-115 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br /> Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Cintas Corporation to <br /> provide uniform rental services to the city's Service Department employees, and <br /> declaring an emergency. <br /> Resolution 2013-116 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br /> Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with the Housing Research <br /> Advocacy Center to provide testing services related to compliance with the Fair Housing <br /> '`ft" laws of the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency.
