MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MARCH 25, 2014 <br />Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Hemann, <br />Kearney, Limper-t, Schumann and Williamson <br />Also Present: Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, Clerk of Council <br />Gallo, Director of Safety /Service Glauner and Director of Human <br />Resources Farver. <br />Absent: Mayor Kennedy <br />Director of Planning /Development Wenger <br />Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 7:45 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: Second Reading — Resolution 2014 -18; First Reading — Resolution 2014- <br />24. <br />Councilman Brossard made a motion to amend the agenda to include committee reports <br />for Recreation, Public Parks & Buildings and Streets & Transportation. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Agenda amended to <br />include reports of the Recreation and Streets committees. <br />REPORTS <br />Councilman Brossard, Chairman of the Recreation, Public Parks & Buildings Committee: <br />The Recreation Committee met Tuesday March 25, 2014 at 7:10 p.m. Present were <br />committee members Brossard, Kearney & Schumann; Council President Jones; Council <br />members Barker, Hemann, Williamson & Limpert; Law Director Gareau, Finance <br />Director Copfer, Safety /Service Director Glauner, Human Resources Director Farver and <br />Planning /Development Director Wenger. <br />• Discussed was Resolution 2014 -20 which is a Resolution authorizing the Director <br />of Planning and Development to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to <br />provide construction services for the North Olmsted Senior Center Patio Project, <br />and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to <br />contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Director Wenger gave a <br />description of the project which consists of new construction of an outdoor patio <br />on the east side of the existing North Olmsted Senior Center. The patio will <br />extend approximately to the limits of the existing walking path. The project will <br />include a concrete area of about 3500 sq. ft. with new outdoor seating, <br />landscaping and raised planting beds. A roofed area of approximately 400 sq. ft. <br />
