MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED MARCH 25, 2014 Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Hemann, Kearney, Limper-t, Schumann and Williamson Also Present: Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Safety /Service Glauner and Director of Human Resources Farver. Absent: Mayor Kennedy Director of Planning /Development Wenger Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 7:45 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules this evening: Second Reading — Resolution 2014 -18; First Reading — Resolution 2014- 24. Councilman Brossard made a motion to amend the agenda to include committee reports for Recreation, Public Parks & Buildings and Streets & Transportation. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Agenda amended to include reports of the Recreation and Streets committees. REPORTS Councilman Brossard, Chairman of the Recreation, Public Parks & Buildings Committee: The Recreation Committee met Tuesday March 25, 2014 at 7:10 p.m. Present were committee members Brossard, Kearney & Schumann; Council President Jones; Council members Barker, Hemann, Williamson & Limpert; Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Safety /Service Director Glauner, Human Resources Director Farver and Planning /Development Director Wenger. • Discussed was Resolution 2014 -20 which is a Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning and Development to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide construction services for the North Olmsted Senior Center Patio Project, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Director Wenger gave a description of the project which consists of new construction of an outdoor patio on the east side of the existing North Olmsted Senior Center. The patio will extend approximately to the limits of the existing walking path. The project will include a concrete area of about 3500 sq. ft. with new outdoor seating, landscaping and raised planting beds. A roofed area of approximately 400 sq. ft.
