MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />APRIL 1, 2014 <br />Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Hemann, <br />Kearney, Limpert and Schumann <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Clerk of Council Gallo, <br />Director of Safety /Service Glauner, Director of Planning /Development <br />Wenger and Director of Human Resources Farver. <br />Absent: Councilwoman Williamson <br />Director of Law Gareau <br />Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: First Reading — Resolution 2014 -26. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• The North Olmsted Arts Commission will host the Mayor's Art Show opening <br />Wednesday April 2, 2014 from 6pm until 8pm. Artwork from North Olmsted <br />High School students has been selected and is displayed throughout City Hall <br />during the entire month of April. The public is welcome to join the city and <br />school officials at the gallery opening. <br />• Complementary yard waste bags are available in the Service Dept. Each resident <br />is allowed up to five bags. <br />• The Civil Service Commission approved a schedule for an entry level firefighters <br />test beginning March 23, 2014 and concludes with results on June 16, 2014. <br />Once established, the list will be good for two years. <br />• And patrol officer, Carol Wilson, will be retiring on April 5, 2014. She was hired <br />on August 29, 1994 as a dispatcher and a police officer in 1996. She was <br />employed by the city for 19 years.
