Council Minutes of 04 -01 -2014 <br />for the award of a contract to provide construction services for the North Olmsted Senior <br />Center Patio Project, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of <br />Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Councilman Brossard <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution 2014 -20 adopted 6 -0. <br />Resolution 2014 -22 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award <br />of a contract to provide construction services for the Windsor Drive Culvert Replacement <br />Project, as detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the <br />Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the <br />lowest and best bidder. Councilwoman Hemann moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Resolution 2014 -22 adopted <br />6 -0. <br />Ordinance 2014 -23 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2014, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2014 -25 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the <br />purchase of bulk treated rock salt for ice and snow removal operations as detailed in <br />specifications on file and further authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with the <br />lowest and best bidder, after Board of Control approval. <br />Resolution 2014 -26 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with Cuyahoga County for <br />an asset transfer of equipment from the FY2010 and FY2011 Urban Area Security <br />Initiative Grants, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Barker made a motion to <br />suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review as this was <br />discussed in Caucus this evening and explained by Glauner during the Council meeting. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Barker moved for adoption. An <br />Ordinance accepting a deed from Dale Fowles, Executor of the estates of Arthur O. <br />Fowles and Jean Fowles, both deceased, donating land to the City of North Olmsted. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilman Kearney scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Tuesday April 8, 2014 <br />at 7:00 p.m. to discuss Resolution 2014 -25. The Safety /Service Director is asked to <br />attend. <br />Council President Jones scheduled a Committee of the Whole for Tuesday April 8, 2014 <br />at 7:10 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2014 -27.
