Council Minutes of 05 -07 -2014 <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance 2014 -28 adopted 7 -0. <br />Ordinance 2014 -30 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance amending the rates of compensation for various administrative and legislative <br />personnel for the year 2014 to increase the salary range for support personnel (part- <br />time /seasonal) for Human Resources, Office of the Director and Division of Information <br />Technology, and Department of Planning and Development, Office of the Director and <br />Division of Building, Division of Springvale Golf Course and Division of Parks and <br />Recreation (Sections 5A, 513, 6A, 613, 9A and l0A) for 2014; and to otherwise restate the <br />compensation rates and descriptions for various administrative and legislative personnel <br />for the year 2014, and declaring an emergency, as amended. <br />Ordinance 2014 -31 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance amending Section 161.01 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North <br />Olmsted entitled "Employees Generally" for the purpose of acknowledging and <br />accepting, upon hire, employee sick time accrued with another governmental agency and <br />further establishing an additional restriction for payout of sick leave upon death, <br />disability or retirement. <br />Ordinance 2014 -32 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2014, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2014 -33 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Safety Director on behalf of the city to apply to the Ohio <br />Attorney General's Office for the FY 2014 -2015 Drug Use Prevention Program Grant for <br />the purpose of partially funding the School Resource Officer; further authorizing the <br />Mayor to enter into an agreement to accept said grant funds, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Barker made a motion to suspend the rules requiring three readings and <br />formal committee review as this was discussed in Caucus and was due May 2, 2014. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Barker moved for adoption. Resolution 2014 -33 adopted 7 -0. <br />Resolution 2014 -34 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution dispensing with the Request for Proposal ( "RFP ") process and authorizing the <br />Mayor to enter into an agreement with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield for <br />reimbursement of ambulance and emergency medical services, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman Kearney made a motion to suspend the rules requiring three <br />readings and formal committee review as this was discussed in Caucus. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman Barker moved <br />for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed <br />unanimously.
