sales. <br />171.04 HOUSING OFFICER DESIGNATED. <br />To administer and implement the provisions of this chapter, the Director of Public Safety or <br />his designee is designated as the Housing Officer within the meaning of Ohio R.C. 3735.66(A) <br />pursuant to Ohio R.C. 3735.66. Such Housing Officer shall perform the duties and <br />responsibilities as set forth in the Act and this chapter. <br />171.05 NORTH OLMSTED HOUSING COUNCIL ESTABLISHED. <br />Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 3735.69, there is hereby established the North Olmsted Housing <br />Council to act as the Community Reinvestment Area Housing Council. The Council shall be <br />composed of seven members who shall be appointed as follows: two members shall be <br />appointed by the Mayor; two members shall be appointed by the Council; one member shall be <br />appointed by the Planning and Design Commission; and two additional members shall be <br />appointed by a majority of the aforementioned members. All members of the Council shall be <br />residents of the City. The terms of the members shall be three years. An unexpired term <br />resulting from a vacancy shall be filled in the same manner as the initial appointment was <br />made. The Council shall perform the duties and responsibilities as set forth in the Act. <br />171.06 APPLICATIONS FOR EXEMPTION; PROCEDURE. <br />(a) Every application for exemption from real property taxation shall be made to the <br />Housing Officer. If the application involves the remodeling of a single family or two family <br />house, then the Housing Officer shall process the application in strict accordance with the <br />provisions of Ohio R.C. 3735.65 et seq. as applicable to pre -1994 CRAs. If the application <br />involves the remodeling of residential property containing more than two units, or the <br />construction or remodeling of commercial or industrial property, excluding properties primarily <br />used in making retail sales, then the Housing Officer shall immediately forward such application <br />
