B. Provide manufacturer's recommended high density fiberboard, 1/2 inches thick, above <br />insulation where required by manufacturer to meet design requirements. <br />2.06 FLEXIBLE FLASHING <br />A. Manufacturer's recommended modified bitumen flashing. <br />2.07 ACCESSORIES <br />A. Roofing Nails: Galvanized or non - ferrous type and size as required to suit application. <br />B. Pressure Relieving Vents: Plastic or Metal one -way valves. Provide vents in accordance <br />with manufacturer's recommendations. <br />C. Mechanical Fasteners for Insulation: Manufacturer's recommended fasteners and as <br />required to meet FM 1 -90 requirements. <br />D. Traffic Surfacing: Manufacturer's standard cap sheet of a color contrasting. Provide traffic <br />surfacing from point of access to roof to roof installed equipment, and each side of roof <br />installed equipment <br />PART 3 -- EXECUTION <br />3.01 EXAMINATION <br />A. Verify deck surface is dry, sound, clean and smooth, free of depressions, waves, or <br />projections, properly sloped to gutter. <br />B. Beginning of installation means acceptance of the surface of the substrates. <br />3.02 PROTECTION <br />A. Protect building surfaces against damage from roofing work. <br />B. Where work must continue over finished roof membrane, protect surfaces. <br />3.03 INSULATION APPLICATION <br />A. For structural concrete decks, prime deck surface with Asphalt/Concrete Primer then embed <br />in a 25 pound per square (plus or minus 20 %) mopping of ASTM Type I II asphalt, two layers <br />of insulation in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. Lay second layer of insulation <br />with joints staggered from first layer. <br />B. Lay insulation boards with tightly butted, staggered joints. Cut insulation to fit neatly to <br />perimeter blocking and around protrusions through roof. <br />C. Install no more insulation than can be properly covered by the end of the each day with <br />roofing membrane. <br />3.04 MEMBRANE APPLICATION <br />30048 -005: 812312012 07510 -4 North Olmsted Phase 2 <br />
