Whereas: Keith Behrendt has given his time and talents to the Scouts in North <br />Olmsted for the past fourteen years; and <br />Whereas: Keith has made many contributions to the Scout program including <br />serving as Assistant Scoutmaster, Webelo Leader, Leader of church <br />services for All Scouts Weekend for seven years and has chaired many <br />committees for All Scouts Weekend; and <br />Whereas: Keith has been involved with community service activities at Ascension <br />Lutheran Church including Chairman of Parish Ministry Council for <br />three years, leader, organizer and guitarists for the Praise Services; and <br />Whereas: While holding down a job that requires traveling and teaching part time <br />at Tri -C, Keith also had to be a help to his wife Lisa. He played an active <br />role in his children's scouting. His son Michael reached Eagle Scout and <br />his daughter Allison attained the Silver Award; and <br />Whereas: Keith continued his work in scouting even after his children moved out <br />of scouting. Keith has worked with popcorn sales, cookie sales, <br />campouts, father /daughter dances, leading All Scouts Weekend church <br />services, after prom committee for North Olmsted High School and <br />participating in Dover Players; and <br />Whereas: Keith has approached life's challenges, accepting them with grace and <br />humor. His activity in Scouting, community service and family make <br />him an asset to our community and truly earns him the title of Mr. <br />Scouting. <br />Now, therefore 1, Kevin M. Kennedy, Mayor of the City of North Olmsted, on behalf of our <br />community, do hereby recognize with honor Keith Behrendt and commend him on his <br />outstanding achievements and dedicated service to the Scouts and to our community. <br />Congratulations Mr. Scouting 2014! <br />In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and <br />cause the Seal of the City of North Olmsted to be affixed <br />this third day of June, 2014. <br />Kevin M.
