LEGISLATION Ordinance 2014 -67 introduced by Councilman Schumann on behalf of himself and Councilman Barker was given its third reading. An Ordinance amending Sections 1363.302.13 of Chapter 1363 of the Real Property Maintenance Code entitled "Supplemental Regulations for Residential Property" in order to provide standards for maintenance of firewood, as amended. Councilman Schumann moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman Schumann publicly thanked Planning /Development Director Wenger's summer intern, Kalindi Parikh, for the research she did on this legislation. Ordinance 2014 -67 adopted 7 -0. Resolution 2014 -68 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a renewed agreement with Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court in connection with the Community Diversion Program to address juvenile misdemeanor and status offenders in the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency, as amended. Councilman Barker made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings as this legislation was discussed in the Public Safety committee and has to be returned to the County as soon as possible. A Resolution dispensing with the Statement of Qualifications "SOQ" process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with the law firm of Squire Patton Boggs LLP to provide professional services as the city's Bond Counsel, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Kearney made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings as this legislation was discussed in the Finance committee.
