Groden <br />replied that there has been very little assistance. <br />Dennis Lambert, 25057 Carey Lane stated that Governor Kasich gave an interview last <br />week stating more affluent school districts do not get the tax dollar support that less <br />affluent districts get. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance 2014 -67 introduced by Councilman Schumann on behalf of himself and <br />Councilman Barker was given its third reading. An Ordinance amending Sections <br />1363.302.13 of Chapter 1363 of the Real Property Maintenance Code entitled <br />"Supplemental Regulations for Residential Property" in order to provide standards for <br />maintenance of firewood, as amended. Councilman Schumann moved for adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman <br />Schumann publicly thanked Planning /Development Director Wenger's summer intern, <br />Kalindi Parikh, for the research she did on this legislation. Ordinance 2014 -67 adopted <br />7 -0. <br />Resolution 2014 -68 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a renewed agreement with Cuyahoga <br />County Juvenile Court in connection with the Community Diversion Program to address <br />juvenile misdemeanor and status offenders in the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an <br />emergency, as amended. Councilman Barker made a motion to suspend the rule <br />requiring three readings as this legislation was discussed in the Public Safety committee <br />and has to be returned to the County as soon as possible. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Councilman Barker moved for <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution 2014 -68 adopted 7 -0. <br />Resolution 2014 -69 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution dispensing with the Statement of Qualifications "SOQ" process and <br />authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with the law firm of Squire Patton Boggs <br />LLP to provide professional services as the city's Bond Counsel, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman Kearney made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three <br />readings as this legislation was discussed in the Finance committee. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed <br />unanimously.
