MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />SEPTEMBER 2, 2014 <br />Present: Council President Pro Tempore Brossard, Council Members Hemann, <br />Kearney, Limpert, Schumann and Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br />Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Safety /Service Glauner, Director of <br />Planning /Development Wenger and Director of Human Resources Farver. <br />Absent: Council President Jones <br />Councilman Barker <br />Council President Pro Tempore Brossard called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in <br />Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The Council meeting minutes of August 19, 2014 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: Second Reading — Ordinance 2014 -58; First Reading — Resolution 2014 -61 <br />and Resolution 2014 -63. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• The Mayor's 5K Race is Sunday September 21, 2014. For more information or to <br />register, contact Becki Simons in the Mayor's Office. <br />• Recreation Center improvements are moving along. Work is being done on the <br />locker rooms, so showers /locker room space is limited. Annual passes are on sale <br />now. Annual Passes purchased in September will start now for swimming but not <br />expire until a year from when the fitness center opens. All those purchasing an <br />annual pass in the month of September are eligible to win a Fitbit. <br />• Reminder: Bulk pickup is delayed one day due to the holiday. <br />• Springvale Golf Course August revenue exceeded the projection of $190,000, <br />coming in at $209,600. The year -to -date projection of $745,000 with actual <br />revenue at $766,170 which also exceeded projections. Springvale Ballroom <br />August revenue came in at $86,707, exceeding the projection of $85,000. The <br />year -to -date projection through August was $420,000 and is currently at <br />$426,165. So far, there are 25 weddings booked for 2015. <br />• Jackie Chavez Anderson and the staff at the Senior Center will be hosting "Pies <br />on the Patio" on September 18, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. to celebrate the unveiling of <br />the new patio adjacent to the Senior Center. It is a beautiful addition to the Center <br />and a beautiful amenity to the park. <br />
