Council Minutes of 09 -02 -2014 of a contract to provide construction services for the repair and replacement of roofing systems of Wastewater Treatment Plant Building No. 2, as detailed in the specifications on file, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Kearney made a motion to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review as this is time sensitive. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Resolution 2014 -61 adopted 6 -0. Resolution 2014 -62 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Human Resources to request proposals ( "RFP ") for website design services and further authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract for said professional services with the vendor selected in the RFP process, subject to approval by the Board of Control. Resolution 2014 -63 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution proclaiming September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in the City of North Olmsted and to encourage residents and businesses to "Go Gold for Childhood Cancer Research ", and declaring an emergency. Councilman Limpert made a motion to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2014 -64 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance amending Section 505.10 of the General Offenses Code of the City of North Olmsted entitled "Hunting Prohibited" to allow the City and private citizens to manage the white - tailed deer population within the City of North Olmsted. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS Councilwoman Hemann scheduled an Intra- Governmental Relations Committee meeting for Tuesday September 9, 2014 at 6:45 p.m. to interview the Mayor's appointments to the Arts Commission. Councilman Kearney scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Tuesday September 9, 2014 at 7:10 p.m. to discuss Resolutions 2014 -59, 2014 -60 and 2014 -62. The Finance Director and Human Resources Director are asked to attend. Council President Pro Tem Brossard scheduled a Committee of the Whole for Tuesday September 9, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2014 -64. Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to excuse the absences of Council President Jones and Councilman Barker. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed unanimously. President Jones and Councilman Barker excused 6 -0. I
