6.2 The Employer and the Association recognize the right of all employees to be free to join <br />the Association, should they so desire, and to participate in lawful Association activities. The <br />Employer and the Association agree that there shall be no discrimination by the Employer or the <br />Association against any employee because of Association membership or non - membership, <br />ARTICLE VII RULES, REGULATIONS, AND ORDERS <br />7.1 The Association agrees that its members shall comply with all Fire Department rules. <br />regulations and orders, including those relating to conduct and work performance. <br />ARTICLE VIII GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE <br />8.1 Any employee shall have the right to present a Grievance in accordance with the <br />procedure provided herein, free from any interference, coercion, restraint, discrimination or <br />reprisal. It is the intent and purpose of the parties to this Agreement that all grievances shall be <br />settled at the lowest possible step of this procedure. <br />8.2 The following procedures shall apply to the administration of all grievances filed under <br />this Article. <br />A. When any of the aforementioned Grievance conditions arise, the following <br />procedures shall be strictly observed: <br />All Grievances shall be typewritten and filed on an Official Grievance Form. An <br />Official Grievance Form shall be provided to the employee by the Association <br />and shall contain the following information at the time the Grievance is presented: <br />The date the Grievance occurred. <br />The time the Grievance occurred. <br />A detailed description of the incident giving rise to the Grievance. <br />Article and Sections of the Agreement involved or past practice specifically <br />related to benefits that are not addressed by language of the Agreement, and <br />which does not conflict with the specific rights of the Employer contained in <br />Article IV, Section 4.3 of the Agreement. <br />Relief requested. <br />Name and signature of the employee and date signed by the employee. <br />Name and signature of the Steward and date signed by the Steward, if any. <br />
