Council Minutes of 12 -02 -2014 <br />two percent (2 %) each year; and authorizing the option to sell back vacation for 2015 <br />only to assist with the payroll change one week in arrears; and to otherwise restate the <br />compensation rates and descriptions for various administrative and legislative personnel <br />for the years 2015, 2016 and 2017, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2014 -89 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into contracts for the deposit of public monies <br />with the institutions designated by Council as depositories for the active and interim <br />account of the city, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2014 -90 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to purchase for police department use three (3) new <br />Ford Utility Police Interceptors and related equipment, all through the State Purchase <br />Program; and further authorizing the Mayor to execute all documents necessary to <br />effectuate such purchase, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Barker made a <br />motion to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review as this <br />has to be submitted by January. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and <br />passed unanimously. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. The motion was seconded <br />by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Resolution 2014 -90 adopted 6 -0. <br />Ordinance 2014 -91 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance dispensing with a formal RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into <br />an agreement with Go2IT Group to provide, among other things, helpdesk support, <br />network monitoring, hardware and software licensing and support, virus recovery and <br />system monitoring services for the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilman Schumann made a motion to excuse the absence of Councilwoman <br />Williamson. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed <br />unanimously. Councilwoman Williamson excused 6 — 0. <br />Councilman Kearney scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Tuesday December 9, <br />2014 at 6:45 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2014 -85, Resolution 2014 -86, Ordinance 2014- <br />87, Ordinance 2014 -88, Ordinance 2014 -89 and Ordinance 2014 -91. The Finance <br />Director is asked to attend. <br />Councilman Limpert scheduled an Environmental Control Committee meeting for <br />Tuesday December 9, 2014 at 7:35 p.m. to discuss Waste Water Treatment Plant <br />Construction updates. The WWTP Superintendent is asked to attend. <br />Council President Jones announced that there will be a special Council meeting on <br />Tuesday December 9, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. as well as a special Council meeting on <br />Thursday December 18, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. <br />With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before <br />Council, President Jones adjourned the Council meeting at 8:25 p.m. <br />5 <br />
