MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED FEBRUARY 3, 2015 Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Hemann, Kearney, Limpert, Schumann and Williamson Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Safety /Service Glauner, Director of Planning /Development Wenger and Director of Human Resources Farver Absent: Director of Finance Copfer Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. The Council meeting minutes of January 20, 2015 were approved as written. The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules this evening: Second Reading — Resolutions 2015 -4, 2015 -5 & 2015 -6; First Reading — Resolution 2015 -9. REPORTS Mayor Kennedy: • February is I 1► North Olmsted month. For more information on all February events can be found at www.celebratenortholmsted.com. • His State of the City Address will be Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Springvale Ballroom from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased through the Celebrate North Olmsted website: www.celebratenortholmsted.com • The Fish Fry at Springvale start on Friday, February 20, 2015. • The Senior Transportation Connection (STC) celebrates its lOt� anniversary on Thursday, February 5, 2015 with a "Free Fare Day" for passengers on that date. Contact the Senior Center for more information. • He congratulated Safety /Service Director Glauner on his one year anniversary of service to the City of North Olmsted. Director of Law Gareau: • Regarding property maintenance, there are three cases where sentences were imposed, four cases with convictions pending sentencing, two open cases subject to conviction, one complaint is authorized and awaiting filing and there are seven complaints with unresolved service issues. • There are hearings scheduled for February 5, 2015 and Februaryl0, 2015 in the matter of FOP /Brian Bielozer vs. the City of North Olmsted concerning his termination arbitration.
