ARTICLE 17: <br /> HOLIDAYS <br /> SECTION 1:All full-time employees shall receive the following paid holidays: <br /> New Year's Day Thanksgiving Day <br /> President's Day Veteran's Day <br /> Easter 1/2 day Christmas Eve <br /> Memorial Day Christmas Day <br /> Independence Day Employee's Personal Day <br /> Labor Day Good Friday <br /> 1/2 day New Year's Eve <br /> SECTION 2: All full-time employees shall be entitled to the holidays listed in Section 1 during <br /> the year and shall not be required to work on these holidays, unless scheduled to work by the <br /> Chief of Police. In the event the employee either works or was not scheduled to work for reasons <br /> other than holiday leave on one of the above listed holidays,then the employee shall receive <br /> another day off from work to replace the holiday he worked or was not required to work for <br /> reasons other than holiday leave. <br /> SECTION 3: Each employee shall receive time and one half their regular hourly wage for all <br /> hours worked on a designated holiday (except for"Personal" day), or receive time off in lieu <br /> thereof as approved by the Chief of Police. If any of the bargaining unit members work on <br /> Thanksgiving or Christmas Day he/she shall be compensated at two times their regular hourly <br /> rate of pay (double time compensation) for any and all hours worked within the twenty-four (24) <br /> hour period of Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. <br /> This does not provide dispatchers with the contractual right to receive double time <br /> payment for all hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours on a holiday excluding Thanksgiving <br /> and Christmas. <br /> ARTICLE 18: <br /> VACATIONS <br /> SECTION 1: Each full-time employee shall earn and be entitled to paid vacation in accordance <br /> with the following schedule: <br /> YEAR OF EMPLOYMENT <br /> LENGTH OF SERVICE WEEKS TO BE TAKEN <br /> After one (1) year Two (2) Second (2nd) <br /> After two (2) years Two (2) Third (3rd) <br /> After three (3) years Two (2) Fourth (4th) <br /> After four(4) years Two (2) Fifth (5th) <br /> After five (5) years Three (3) Sixth(6th) <br /> 13 <br />
