MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br /> APRIL 21,2015 <br /> Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Hemann, <br /> Kearney, Limpert, Schumann and Williamson <br /> Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br /> Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Safety/Service Glauner and Director <br /> of Human Resources Farver <br /> Absent: Director of Planning and Development Director Wenger <br /> Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br /> 5200 Dover Center Road,North Olmsted, Ohio. <br /> Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br /> Allegiance. <br /> The Council meeting minutes of April 7, 2015 were approved as written. <br /> The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br /> this evening: Second Reading — Ordinance 2015-24, Resolution 2015-27, Ordinance <br /> 2015-29, Ordinance 2015-30, Resolution 2015-31; First Reading — Ordinance 2015-32 <br /> and Resolution 2015-35. <br /> REPORTS <br /> Mayor Kennedy: <br /> • At various locations within the City there are folded stop signs. If the traffic <br /> signals fail due to a power outage, the police or municipal workers will open the <br /> stop signs to create a mandatory 4-way stop to help save overtime and help the <br /> flow of traffic. <br /> • He had the pleasure of attending a Kiwanis meeting yesterday evening, and each <br /> year they select a Kiwanis Hero. This year's hero is Todd Musial, and he <br /> congratulated him on his award. <br /> • He met with Safety/Service Director Glauner and Service Foreman Demaline to <br /> change some flashing traffic signals on Lorain Road to extend the time from 6:30 <br /> a.m. until 7:00 a.m. This change has been made and will hopefully help traffic <br /> move more quickly. <br /> • North Olmsted will be participating in a Baseball/Softball opening day event with <br /> North Ridgeville, Rocky River, Fairview Park and Bay Village on May 16, 2015 <br /> at 11:00 a.m. in North Ridgeville. The event is being held to kick off the start of <br /> the summer ball season. Mayors of the five cities are invited to throw out the first <br /> pitch, and there will be fun for the whole family along with the start of the season <br /> games. <br />
