Council Minutes of 04-21-2015 <br /> as he purchased Verizon stock after this project was originally approved; Limpert, yes; <br /> Hemann, yes. CMS14-2809 Verizon Wireless Building Project approved 6-0 with 1 <br /> abstention. <br /> • Discussed last was Ordinance 2015-24 which is an Ordinance authorizing the <br /> Director of Planning and Development to request proposals from qualified firms <br /> to provide professional planning and zoning services for the Zoning Code Update <br /> Project, and following approval by the Board of Control, further authorizing the <br /> Mayor to enter into a contract with the firm determined to provide the best <br /> services at a reasonable cost, and declaring an emergency. The goal is to update <br /> the commercial zoning according to the city's Master Plan. There is <br /> approximately $20,000 budgeted for this project. The committee voted 3-0 to <br /> recommend approval of Ordinance 2015-24 with suspension. <br /> Councilman Limpert took a moment of personal privilege to thank Safety/Service <br /> Director Glauner for reaching out to Westlake to try to coordinate the extension of <br /> Bradley Road that connects to Center Ridge Road. <br /> Councilwoman Hemann, Chairwoman of the Intra-Governmental Relations Committee: <br /> The Intra-Governmental Relations Committee met Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 8:31 p.m. <br /> Present were Committee members Hemann, Limpert and Kearney; Council President <br /> Jones; Council members Barker, Brossard, Schumann and Williamson. <br /> • Discussed was Resolution 2015-31 which is a Resolution proclaiming April as <br /> Fair Housing Month in the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, and declaring an <br /> emergency. No one from the Administration was present to explain the <br /> Resolution, so Councilwoman Hemann explained the poster contest and other <br /> activities that are taking place during the month of April. The committee voted 3- <br /> 0 to recommend approval of Resolution 2015-31 with suspension. <br /> Councilman Kearney made a motion to amend Ordinance 2015-23 to reflect a 2% <br /> increase for at-Large Council members each year for the next four years beginning in <br /> 2016. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. <br /> Ordinance 2015-23 amended 7-0. <br /> AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br /> Tom Dubowski, 5758 Wellesley said Mr. Lambert used his name at the March 3rd <br /> Council meeting during his "rant" against Mr. Gareau. After the meeting, Lambert <br /> stopped him in the parking lot and apologized to him for using his name. Then a story <br /> appeared on cleveland.com, and in his comment he posted to that story he used <br /> Dubowski's name again. Dubowski said he was Chairman of the Charter Review <br /> Commission in 2000. They did their job over several months and forwarded suggested <br /> changes to the Administration. At no time did the Commission have any contact with <br /> Mr. Gareau, and at no time did Mr. Gareau have any counsel with the Commission. He <br /> told Lambert from now on never to use his name again in any comments concerning his <br /> feud with Mr. Gareau or regarding any other subject. <br /> 5 <br />
