MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br /> MAY 19,2015 <br /> Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Hemann, <br /> Kearney, Limpert, Schumann and Williamson <br /> Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br /> Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Safety/Service Glauner and Director <br /> of Planning and Development Wenger <br /> Absent: Human Resources Director Farver <br /> Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br /> 5200 Dover Center Road,North Olmsted, Ohio. <br /> Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br /> Allegiance. <br /> The Council meeting minutes of May 6, 2015 were approved as written. <br /> The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br /> this evening: Second Reading—Resolution 2015-37 <br /> REPORTS <br /> Mayor Kennedy: <br /> • He presented high school students with scholarship money raised at his 2014 <br /> Mayor's 5K (student biographies attached) <br /> Director of Law Gareau: <br /> • No report <br /> Director of Finance Copfer: <br /> • No report. <br /> The Finance Committee met Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. Present were <br /> committee members Kearney, Schumann and Barker; Council President Jones; Council <br /> members Brossard, Hemann, Limpert and Williamson; Mayor Kennedy, Finance Director <br /> Copfer, Safety/Service Director Glauner and IT employee Tim Szabo. <br /> • Discussed was Resolution 2015-37 which is a Resolution authorizing the Mayor <br /> to enter into a WOW Business Customer Agreement to provide dedicated internet <br /> access to City Hall, the Police Station, Fire Stations 1 and 2, the Recreation <br /> Center, Senior Center, Waste Water Treatment Plant and Springvale Golf Course, <br /> and declaring an emergency. This new contract will not only save the city money <br /> but will also improve internet service to all city buildings. The committee voted <br /> 3-0 to recommend approval of Resolution 2015-37 with suspension. <br />
