MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br /> MAY 6, 2015 <br /> Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Kearney, <br /> Limpert, Schumann and Williamson <br /> Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br /> Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Safety/Service Glauner, Director of <br /> Planning and Development Wenger and Director of Human Resources <br /> Farver <br /> Absent: Council Member Hemann <br /> Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br /> 5200 Dover Center Road,North Olmsted, Ohio. <br /> Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br /> Allegiance. <br /> The Council meeting minutes of April 21, 2015 were approved as written. <br /> The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br /> this evening: Second Reading—Resolution 2015-33, Resolution 2015-34 and Resolution <br /> 2015-36 <br /> REPORTS <br /> Mayor Kennedy: <br /> • Mother's Day Brunch is at Springvale this Sunday, May 10, 2015. Reservations <br /> are now being taken for 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. <br /> • The North Olmsted Community Scholarship Race — Bicentennial Edition hosted <br /> by Mayor Kennedy is June 6, 2015 in the North Olmsted Park. Call Becki at 440- <br /> 716-4142 for more information or register at www.hermescleveland.com. <br /> • The Kiwanis Spaghetti Dinner is Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the North Olmsted <br /> Party Center from 5 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. <br /> • Construction work on Great Northern Boulevard will begin on May 11, 2015 <br /> between Brookpark Road and I-480. <br /> Director of Law Gareau: <br /> • Summary judgement was granted in favor of the City of North Olmsted in the <br /> matter of Brian Bielozer vs. The City of North Olmsted. Mr. Bielozer and his wife <br /> sought damages from the city on a variety of claims related to his termination <br /> from The City of North Olmsted as a North Olmsted police officer. Each one of <br /> those claims was defeated and found to be without merit by the Judge. The City <br /> of North Olmsted, as a successful party in this matter, petitioned the court to order <br /> the Bielozers to pay to the city the sum of $5,188.75 for court reporting and <br /> transcript costs associated with the case and the motion for summary judgement. <br />
