MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br /> JUNE 16, 2015 <br /> Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Hemann, <br /> Kearney, Schumann and Williamson <br /> Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br /> Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Safety/Service Glauner, Director of <br /> Planning and Development Wenger and Director of Human Resources <br /> Farver <br /> Absent: Council Member Limpert <br /> Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br /> 5200 Dover Center Road,North Olmsted, Ohio. <br /> Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br /> Allegiance. <br /> The Council meeting minutes of June 2, 2015 were approved as written. <br /> The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br /> this evening: Second Reading—Resolution 2015-43 <br /> REPORTS <br /> Mayor Kennedy: <br /> • The Mayor congratulated the North Olmsted Fire Department for receiving the <br /> Lifeline EMS Silver Performance Achievement Award. Lieutenant Shlapack <br /> introduced Bill Young, President of the St. John's Medical Center, who thanked <br /> the North Olmsted Fire Department for their partnership with the hospital. Their <br /> quick response to patients in need is resulting in great patient outcomes which <br /> result in this award. He recognized the Fire Dept. for excellent care of <br /> cardiovascular patients in 2014. Lt. Shlapack introduced Dr. Marc Baumgard, <br /> Medical Director. Mr. Baumgard presented the Silver Award for the American <br /> Heart Association, which recognizes an EMS provider for obtaining 75% or <br /> higher composite adherence to the Mission Lifeline EMS Achievement Award. <br /> This means that the North Olmsted Fire Dept. has done an excellent job in <br /> transporting their patients quickly to the hospital so they can conduct timely <br /> interventions. It was noted that the North Olmsted Fire Dept. did qualify for the <br /> Gold Award, but one of the requirements is to have two consecutive Silver <br /> Awards first. Lt. Shlapack thanked the Mayor, City Council, the Administration <br /> and various medical staff for their support and foundation that helps the Fire Dept. <br /> get good care to the patients who need it. <br /> • The North Olmsted Community Scholarship 5K was held on Saturday, June 6, <br /> 2015 at the North Olmsted Park. He thanked everyone who Saturday's made <br />
