Council Minutes of 06-16-2015 Article VII, requiring all ordinances proposing to zone or rezone a parcel of land to Multiple Residence (Apartment) only be voted upon and approved by the electors of the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance 2015-48 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An Ordinance providing for the submission of an amendment to the electors of the City of North Olmsted to Article VII, Section 3 of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted for the purpose of eliminating the Parks and Recreation Commission, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance 2015-49 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance amending the rates of compensation for various administrative and legislative personnel for the years 2015, 2016 and 2017 by establishing compensation rates for Permit Clerks under the Division of Building (Section 6B); and to otherwise restate the compensation rates and descriptions for various administrative and legislative personnel for the years 2015, 2016 and 2017, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance 2015-50 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance amending and re-establishing Chapter 179.99 of the Administrative Code, entitled "Composition and Organization of the Department of Planning and Development" in order to provide for the reorganization of the Division of Building, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance 2015-51 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance accepting a deed from Calvary Baptist Church, Independent, donating land to the City of North Olmsted. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS Councilman Schumann scheduled a BZD Committee meeting for Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss the temporary location of the middle school moving to St. Richard's property and Ordinance 2015-51. The Planning/Development Director is asked to attend. Councilman Kearney scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. to discuss Ordinances 2015-49 and 2015-50. The Finance Director and Planning/Development Director are asked to attend. Council President Jones announced that there will be a special Council meeting on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. for the purpose of considering a variance requested by the school district on the St. Richard's property. Councilman Schumann made a motion to excuse Councilman Limpert. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed unanimously. Councilman Limpert excused 6-0. 6
