Council Minutes of 08-18-2015 <br /> in order to restate applicable Codes and eliminate unnecessary provisions for commercial <br /> and residential construction. <br /> Ordinance 2015-63 introduced by Council President Jones on behalf of herself and <br /> Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An Ordinance adopting a new Chapter <br /> 1364 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted entitled "Interior <br /> Maintenance Code," as amended. <br /> Resolution 2015-64 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br /> Resolution proclaiming September as Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in the City of <br /> North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. <br /> Resolution 2015-65 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br /> Resolution authorizing the Safety Director on behalf of the city to apply to the Ohio <br /> Attorney General's Office for the FY 2015-2016 Drug Use Prevention Program Grant for <br /> the purpose of partially funding the School Resource Officer; further authorizing the <br /> Mayor to enter into an agreement to accept said grant funds, and declaring an emergency. <br /> Councilman Barker made a motion to suspend the rules requiring three readings and <br /> formal committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and <br /> passed unanimously. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. The motion was seconded <br /> by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Resolution 2015-65 adopted 7- <br /> 0. <br /> Resolution 2015-66 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br /> Resolution granting to T.D. Ganley, Inc. dba Ganley Honda a lease of space at the North <br /> Olmsted Recreation Center, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Brossard made a <br /> motion to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review. The <br /> motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Councilman <br /> Brossard moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and <br /> passed unanimously. Resolution 2015-66 adopted 7-0. <br /> Ordinance 2015-67 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Schumann <br /> on behalf of himself and Councilman Barker. An Ordinance enacting new Chapter 949 <br /> of the Streets, Utilities and Public Services Code entitled "Animal Control and Nuisance <br /> Abatement" in order to establish procedures for animal control and cost recovery. <br /> Ordinance 2015-68 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br /> Ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to provide for <br /> the installation of school zone signs and school bus loading and unloading signs on <br /> Country Club Boulevard, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Barker made a <br /> motion to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review. The <br /> motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. <br /> Dennis Lambert, 25057 Carey Lane asked if there are any costs involved to the city <br /> regarding the signage or any of the changes. Finance Director Copfer explained that the <br /> lighted signs are the ones that were there before, so there is the cost of putting them back <br /> up again. The city has an internal sign shop, so that work will be done with the city <br /> software so it's very inexpensive. The city is required to do this because it's the city's <br /> 8 <br />
