MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br /> SEPTEMBER 1,2015 <br /> Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Hemann, <br /> Kearney, Limpert, Schumann and Williamson <br /> Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br /> Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Safety/Service Glauner, Director of <br /> Planning and Development Wenger and Director of Human Resources <br /> Farver <br /> Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br /> 5200 Dover Center Road,North Olmsted, Ohio. <br /> Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br /> Allegiance. <br /> The Council meeting minutes of August 18, 2015 were approved as written. <br /> The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br /> this evening: Second Reading — Resolution 2015-64; First Reading — Ordinance 2015- <br /> 78. <br /> REPORTS <br /> Mayor Kennedy: <br /> • They had a great turnout for Homecoming weekend. Make sure you stop by City <br /> Hall to sign the birthday card if you missed and to get more information on the <br /> time capsule. <br /> • The Bicentennial Frisbee Golf Tournament will be Saturday, September 5, 2015. <br /> To sign up visit www.celebratenortholmsted.com, or for more information call the <br /> Mayor's Office. The Bicentennial Clambake and Golf Outing is scheduled for <br /> October 2, 2015. <br /> • City Offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2015 for Labor Day. <br /> • Please join the city as they dedicate the Charles Alden Seltzer House as a North <br /> Olmsted Landmark on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at 30095 <br /> Lorain Road. The house is being recognized for its unique historical architecture <br /> and its importance to North Olmsted's history. Come learn about Charles Alden <br /> Seltzer, a man who was not only a famous author of westerns, but also a North <br /> Olmsted Councilman and Mayor. Parking is available at Northwood Plaza and <br /> Chestnut School. <br /> Director of Law Gareau: <br /> • Last week, arbitrator James Mancini ruled in favor of the City of North Olmsted <br /> and against the Fraternal Order of Police in the arbitration of a grievance arriving <br /> from the termination of former Patrolman Brian Bielozer.
