MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br /> SEPTEMBER 15,2015 <br /> Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Hemann, <br /> Kearney, Limpert and Williamson <br /> Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br /> Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Safety/Service Glauner, Director of <br /> Planning and Development Wenger and Director of Human Resources <br /> Farver <br /> Absent: Council Member Schumann <br /> Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br /> 5200 Dover Center Road,North Olmsted, Ohio. <br /> Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br /> Allegiance. <br /> The Council meeting minutes of September 1, 2015 were approved as written. <br /> The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br /> this evening: Second Reading — Ordinance 2015-67; First Reading — Resolution 2015- <br /> 80. <br /> Councilman Barker made a motion to amend Ordinance 2015-67. The motion was <br /> seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2015-67 <br /> amended 6-0. <br /> REPORTS <br /> Mayor Kennedy: <br /> • He thanked the Fire Dept. for their 9/11 ceremony. <br /> • On Saturday, September 12, 2015, the city held its Landmark dedication of the <br /> Seltzer House which went very well. <br /> • October 2, 2015 is the Bicentennial Clam Bake Golf Outing at Springvale Golf <br /> Course at 4:30 p.m. It's only nine holes. Please contact Planning/Development <br /> Director Wenger for more details. <br /> • The Police Dept. worked with school officials to teach Alert Lockdown Inform <br /> Counter and Evacuate (ALICE) training on September 4, 2015. This is <br /> continuing safety training in North Olmsted Schools. <br /> • There were five burglaries in Deerfield Development on September 3, 2015 <br /> between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Please keep an eye out in your neighborhoods. <br /> If you see something suspicious, please contact the police. <br /> Councilman Barker said that there will be a flyer distributed to residents to be aware, <br /> observant and to contact the police dept. if anyone sees anything out of the ordinary. <br />
