MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br /> NOVEMBER 4,2015 <br /> Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Hemann, Kearney, <br /> Limpert, Schumann and Williamson <br /> Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br /> Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Safety/Service Glauner, Director of <br /> Planning and Development Wenger and Director of Human Resources <br /> Farver <br /> Absent: Council Member Brossard <br /> Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br /> 5200 Dover Center Road,North Olmsted, Ohio. <br /> Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br /> Allegiance. <br /> The Council meeting minutes of October 20, 2015 were approved as written. <br /> The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br /> this evening: Second Reading—2015-95. <br /> Council President Jones congratulated all individuals who were successful in their bid for <br /> the Council at-Large positions. She thanked those who ran for those positions for the <br /> betterment of the City of North Olmsted. <br /> REPORTS <br /> Mayor Kennedy: <br /> • He congratulated the at-Large candidates who won, and thanked Tim Smith. He <br /> appreciated all of the effort everyone put into running for the at-Large seats. <br /> Also, four of the five Charter amendments passed. <br /> • The Salute to Veterans event will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at <br /> 9:50 at North Olmsted High School. All are invited to honor the veterans that <br /> day. <br /> • The North Olmsted City Schools Education Foundation's Taste of Excellence will <br /> be held Friday, November 13, 2015 at Springvale Ballroom. All proceeds go <br /> directly to academic excellence for student scholarships and educator grants. <br /> • The North Olmsted Recreation Center's birthday party will be held on Saturday, <br /> November 14, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. There will be free skating and <br /> swimming, tours, giveaways, a DJ, photobooth, face painting, prize wheel, cake, <br /> punch, treats and more. <br /> • This month, the Dover Players Community Theater Group presents a once in a <br /> lifetime chance to see a 200-year history of North Olmsted through story, song <br />
